Each season, I always have a soft spot for Manish Arora collection because I always find there is magic in it. Clearly, his clothes are not for everyone, but for those of us who are die hard fans, he never disappoints.
For this F/W collection, I am completely in love with the surreal prints. The surreal landscape one reminds me of Dali's artworks and I really like how Arora combines the Indian element into this collection. I know a lot of people do not like peplum, but in here, this element actually adds a very bold vibe to the green futuristic piece. As a typical Arora collection, you also see a lot of embellishments on many pieces without looking tacky.
Overall, this is a very amazing collection and as a fan of fashion illustration, I already can see illustrators will want to illustrate some of the pieces.
Pros:
- I love the prints. The surreal landscape print is amazing and I love the green tubes print as well. They are very futuristic and add a new dimension to the collection.
- The embellishments are great on the pieces.
- I love the silhouette and who says peplum cannot make a girl look cool?
- It's great to see how the Indian element (nose ring, the eye mask) can work so well with this collection.
Cons:
- If and only if the shoes can have those prints, then the collection will be flawless.
Eye Candies:
- Surreal landscape print series
- Pink peplum skirt with black embellishments
- Green futuristic peplum skirt suit.
