Walk the Walk: Junya Watanabe F/W 2013 Collection

How can you deconstruct a biker jacket and make it look unusual and chic? Well maybe Junya Watanabe can give you some ideas.

This brand is always so good at deconstructing a clothing piece and recreate something unusual and cool. For this season, the target is a biker jacket. It turns into pieces like a multi-panels dress, a leather varsity jacket, or a black leather dress. Aside from this element, I am also in love with the use of different kinds of check patterns. When this element is used as patch works for jeans, it reminds me of the late 90s era when everyone liked to DIY his/her own pair of jeans.

Overall, this collection continues to be very sporty with luxurious materials. I have a very good feeling few pieces may already have long waiting lists. What do you think?

Pros:
- I like the deconstruct version of the biker jacket, so many wonderful options!
- The patchwork jeans remind me of the 90s DIY projects
- I am surprised to see the tweed material in this collection. It does not give a mature vibe at all, instead, it is very sporty and playful.
- I love the multi zippers design on the "trench coats", such a fun touch!

Cons:
- Nothing really special about the shoes.

Eye Candies:
- Black leather biker jacket dress
- Red "biker jacket" multi panels dress
- Multi-zippers trench coat
- "Biker jacket" varsity jacket
