Walk the Walk: Kenzo F/W 2013 Collection

Kenzo has stolen my heart once again with this F/W 2013 collection.

While the menswear collection is all about the clouds, for the womenswear, Carol Lim and Humberto Leon want to surprise us with an element - the eye. It adds a very playful vibe to many of the pieces and it blends very well with the oriental prints. The designers have continued to explore the cocoon silhouette by using exotic materials and refining the shape. Personally, I find this collection to be the strongest one ever since Carol Lim and Humberto Leon became the creative directors of the brand. I bet few of these dresses will show up on red carpet soon (and of course lots of editorials).

Pros:
- I love the eye motif. You can interpret it as the symbol Illuminati or just a playful element to the collection.
- The oriental prints are beautiful and the eye blends so well with them.
- I am not usually a fan of oversized silhouette but I really like them in this collection.
- Love the cocoon silhouette with the use of exotic materials.

Cons:
- Can Carol Lim and Humberto Leon create the eye print shirts for men? (like the one Humberto wore at the end?)

Eye Candies:
- Oriental print sleeveless skirt
- Red cocoon jacket
- Blue cocoon jacket with fur
- The eyes long coat
- The oriental print suit
- The iridescent oriental print + eyes dress
