Trendology: NAZBASH by Nazanin Bashi 2014

As with à la mode Founder and Editor in Chief Marcus Kan, [FAT] 2014 also marked my 5th year participating in the best arts and fashion filled five days event you can find anywhere in town. The final day given the distinction of Minimal/Extreme was as en pointe as the ballerina beautifully dancing in one of the nights opening collection looks from NAZBASH.

Naturally titled Instruments & Fashion, it all began quite literally with the first model walking while playing violin, followed by one who generated tambourine rolls. Nazanin's aspiration to fuse music with fashion was obvious by the literal execution of the presentation. To the keen eye it was realized in the details of the garments as each one was inspired and comprised of traditional Persian instruments. Visible stripe patterns mimic that of string instruments while jacket closures and decorative appliqué checked all the boxes on my list. The final note and thought to ponder is the details found on the back of the clothes because a woman should look as good exiting a room as she did entering it.

Check out my favourite looks from NAZBASH below.
