Walk the Walk: Alexander McQueen S/S 2015 Collection

Sarah Burton presented the Alexander McQueen S/S 2015 collection in Paris yesterday, and it was yet another stunning collection.

The theme of this collection was inspired by the Japanese warriors and geishas, which was a very nice contrast (hard vs soft). Kimono inspired pieces were seen throughout the runway show, and there was also a strong warrior/fetish vibe because of the hardness design. Orchid was a big element here, as it was used as the print, 3D element, and the layers of the gowns.

When Sarah Burton first took over this brand, her designs were softer and more feminine than Lee. However, in this collection, Burton was driving towards a darker and tougher direction, and I am curious to see if this will continue in the next season.

Pros:
- Loving the warrior vs geisha theme of this collection. It's very solid.
- The harness design and the boots add a very strong fetish vibe to the collection.
- The orchid print adds a feminine vibe, but the entire collection is still very dark and edgy.
- The Sakura embellishment is a nice touch on 2 of the pieces.
- Love the orchid layers of the dresses

Eye Candies:
- The orchid gown
- The orchid print kimono
- The orchid print long leather coat
- The sakura gowns
