If rose is a symbol of love, then maybe this Alexander McQueen F/W 2015 collection is a love letter from Sarah Burton to Lee Alexander McQueen.
From embroidery to the fold of the organza, rose is the element that ties everything together. Unlike the S/S 2015 collection, Sarah's creations once again have a very soft, feminine and romantic vibe. When looking at the runway photos, some of the looks are like the evolved versions of the S/S 2012 and F/W 2012 collections, such as the rose organza dress. This collection is very wearable, but without losing the Alexander McQueen artistic touch. From a business point of view, I believe it will sell very well next season.
Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty exhibition at V&A Museum is going to open its doors to the public on March 14, 2015, and I think this collection is a good tribute to the great designer who left us in 2010.
Lee, we miss you.
