Object of Desire: Sully Wong x Amanda Lew Kee - SWALK01

I was first introduced to Sully Wong 2 years ago, and at this moment, I am still feeling sad that I cannot get the orange SWJ Heavyweight Sneaker because my feet are too small. However, the following collaboration may give me hope to own something from this brand.

For this season, Amanda Lew Kee is teaming up with Sully Wong to produce the first premium Hi-Top women's sneakers called the SWALK01. What I love about this sneaker is the Japanese leather lined denim interior, which works very well with the raw-cut leather outer layer. The design is sleek, smart, and fashion forward. Even though it is a women's sneaker, for men who have small feet like me, I guarantee it will look great on them!

This limited edition sneaker will be available online at SullyWong.com & GotStyle boutiques in Toronto starting October 9th. Don't miss it!

Fashionist[On The Go]: Canadian Power

Typing this log entry makes me very happy and the reason? Well, the answer is just below this paragraph.

This past Sunday was the annual MMVA and all the Canadians in the fashion industry were wondering what would the celebrities wear on the red carpet. It was a pleasant surprise to know Katy Perry was wearing a VAWK gown from the resort collection. Also, Nelly Furtado wore a Lucian Matis dress for her performance and Shenae Grimes wore a custom dress designed by Amanda Lew Kee. I am happy to see Canadian designers are finally getting recognitions from the international entertainment world. [Read Here]

I bet a lot of my readers are fans of both South Park and Marc Jacobs. Well if you have watched that 1% episode, you should remember there is a "Muscle Man Marc" doll. If you are hoping to get one in real life, then you are in luck because Marc Jacobs has produced it and you can now get it on the Marc Jacobs website!

Trendology: Amanda Lew Kee S/S 2011 Collection

Amanda Lew Kee has made her debut show at the LG Fashion Week and it is a success!

In this collection, black is replaced by beige, silver-ish blue, grey and also a splash of pink. Once again, most of the pieces here are made of fine leather. The design of this collection is very futuristic and surprisingly some of the pieces are highly wearable without being boring. Some of my favorite pieces include the see through leggings, the jackets with sheer sleeves and the pink textured dress top.

This is a very refreshing collection and I really cannot get over the blue lips yet. Amanda is definitely on my "the ones to watch" list and I look forward to seeing what she has in store for us in Fall/Winter collection!
