This was such an unexpected news when I first read it. Target and Neiman Marcus are going to work together to create a capsule collection featuring 24 CFDA designers. Some of the brands include Altuzarra, Jason Wu, Rag & Bone, Marc Jacobs, Thom Browne and Rodarte. The collection will be in store and online on December 1! [Read Here]

$56,000 (£35,000) probably means a lot to many people, but when this number equals to the money Kate Middleton (the Duchess of Cambridge) spent on clothing so far this year, I think that's so little. Since she was wearing high fashion brands such as Alexander McQueen, Jenny Packham, and Roland Mouret to events, I would have expected the clothing expense would exceed $100k. From this, I just think she is a very smart spender! [Read Here]

Typing this log entry makes me very happy and the reason? Well, the answer is just below this paragraph.

This past Sunday was the annual MMVA and all the Canadians in the fashion industry were wondering what would the celebrities wear on the red carpet. It was a pleasant surprise to know Katy Perry was wearing a VAWK gown from the resort collection. Also, Nelly Furtado wore a Lucian Matis dress for her performance and Shenae Grimes wore a custom dress designed by Amanda Lew Kee. I am happy to see Canadian designers are finally getting recognitions from the international entertainment world. [Read Here]

So out of everything in the fashion world, this has to be the biggest news of the week...

Monday and Tuesday were all about the H&M buzz. Everyone on twitter was talking about the possible collaboration between H&M and Maison Martin Margiela and on Tuesday morning, the news was confirmed and the collection will be on sale on November 15, 2012. I am actually not surprised about this collection and am looking forward to seeing what MMM has in store for H&M. [Read Here]

You may wonder why I am not talking about the Prada new campaign since this blog as so many things about this brand. Well, here is the answer for you...

For this season's promotion campaign, Prada uses Gary Oldman, Jamie Bell, Garrett Hedlund and Willem Dafoe as the brand's ambassadors for the menswear. If you think this is like a high class portrait, then you are correct and this is exactly what Miuccia wants you to think. Personally, I am only so so on this campaign as it lacks the story element.
