#stmSnippet: Designer Katherine Phan of SimpleSmiles & Co.

A little blue swatch started it all. When Katherine Phan was a young girl she picked up her first set of knitting needles and created the tiny swatch. This simple act planted the seed and her love of the art of knitting began to grow and years later has blossomed into the Canadian fashion brand SimpleSmiles & Co. Using yarns of wool, alpaca, yak, cotton and various blends she finds while on her travels, each piece is crafted by hand with love, care and creativity.

For this #stmINTERVIEWED Katherine talks about launching her business, what she has learned, the inspiration behind her FW15 collection and her love of knitting. To read the full post, click here now.

Object of Desire: BAFFI Pocket Squares

The modern man needs modern accessories. Let us introduce BAFFI, the fun non-traditional pocket square company from Canada. Made of wood, held in place with a magnet and designed to be worn in multiple ways, the BAFFI pocket square is truly a unique accessory for the dapper gent.

Being a fan of getting the most out of our wardrobes, we took a single sports coat and BAFFI-fied it. Next we mixed and matched in some shirts and ties to produce three distinct looks while touring downtown Toronto and sticking these fun pocket squares just about everywhere!

Calling this nifty little item a square is something of a lie. Designed with a slanted edge on one side, the square has a more traditional look when placed in your pocket. Flip it upside down and let the rounded corner side show for a more contemporary look. Want to be daring? Let the slanted edge go in different directions each time you wear it and this little guy is one versatile wonder.

The BAFFI wooden pocket square comes in a plethora of options. From colourful camo and stripes, to sophisticated paisley and dressy polka dots, to fun loving juicy citrus fruits and one of our favourites, the timeless solid wood Noce, the BAFFI collection has more options than you probably have places to wear them!

Want something a little extra special? BAFFI offers a custom service. Order a customized one just for yourself, get a group of personalized squares for your wedding party or go all out and get corporate squares for your entire office or special event. The sky is the limit with custom BAFFI pocket squares.
