Walk the Walk: David Andersen F/W 2011 Collection

David Andersen's collections always capture my heart and this time is no exception.

David has recently shown his collection during Copenhagen Fashion Week and for the first time, a women's line is introduced. The women collection carries the edgy trait from the men's collection and some of the pieces do carry the rebellious attitude. As for the menswear, David never miss the mark to make his men look cool and edgy!

One great show!

Pros:
- The introduction of the women's collection.
- The use of materials (such as fur, leather) on the fashion pieces.
- The edgy deigns on both collections.
- Everything is so true to David's brand vision.
- The slim cut silhouette is always my cup of tea.

Cons:
- A few pieces are too normal for this brand.

Eye Candies:
- Women fur coat
- Men white dress shirt with big zipper on the left hand side
- Men fur vest
- Women leather sharp shoulder jacket

Trendology: David Andersen S/S 2011 collection

Dark, edgy and ballerina (?) are the words I can come up with when I look at the S/S 2011 collection of David Andersen.

In this collection, the designs of the tops are tend to be very masculine while the bottom part has the feminine feeling to it (stocking + ballerina shoes). The jackets and vests are my favorites in this collection especially the one with the studs on the shoulder area. I have a feeling this collection is inspired by the medieval knights because of the chainmail armor vest. If that is the interpretation of a modern knight, I would want to be in this dark army.

There are my favorites and you can click here for the complete collection.

Trendology: David Andersen F/W 2010 collection

My heart is melted when I see the photos from this amazing collection!

The black and white photos have simply set the tone for this F/W collection of David Andersen. The structure of the pieces are simple but the details and the use of materials are what capture my heart for this collection. The patent leather blazer is futuristic, whereas the pinned blazer is edgy and full of attitude. I am also in love with the vests that are presented in these photos, they are simply sharp and clean. Another piece that is worth to mention is the Matador inspired jacket. I cannot take my eyes of those rhinestones on the jacket and whoever plans to wear it to a function will become the star of the night!

This is a brand you should keep in mind and I am looking forward to see more of his collections in the future! Click here for the compete collection look book.
