Ray of Inspirology: Lady Dior Resort 2014 Campaign

The new Lady Dior Resort 2014 campaign has arrived and I find it very refreshing.

Marion Cotillard continues to be the spokesperson of this beautiful handbag and for this season, she is photographed by Tim Walker. There is no dramatic lighting set up here, but the series delivers the message to the audience flawlessly (aka the bag). I really like the splash paints on the wall as they reflect the colour palette of the seasonal Lady Dior bags. Marion once again looks amazing in the images, especially the one above.

This series proves that sometimes simplicity is the best way to showcase the products (and the beauty as well). What do you think?

Ray of Inspirology: Lady Dior S/S 2013 Campaign

The new Lady Dior campaign is here and once again, Marion Cotillard is the face of these images.

These images are shot by Jean Baptiste Mondino and feature some of the colourful Lady Dior bags in this season. As usual, Marion looks very elegant and classy. This might actually be my favourite Lady Dior campaign so far because of the gel lights. They create a rather classy and pop art-ish feeling to the images.

StyleNotes[Cheat Sheet]: Fashion news are back!

As many of you may know, Fashionist is no longer online so there is nothing I can update for the weekly Fashionist[On The Go].

Ray of Inspirology: Red Hot

It's great to see when photographer is willing to push the envelope and here is a very nice example.

This editorial is shot by Tim Walker and it features Mario Cotillard. Marion is dressed up in Haute Couture pieces, which she looks so stunning in the images. The main reason I like about this editorial is the fact that Tim only uses 2 colours (black and red) to create some striking images. They are dark, playful and remind of the fairy tale world. Also, red is always the official colour of Christmas so it works very well with the concept of December (holiday) issue.

Wave of Inspirology: Lady Dior Web Documentary: Lily's Body

Christian Dior has really stepped up the arts game lately and today, the brand has released a very nice animation.

This animation is directed by Eliott Bliss and the storyline is about how Christian Dior meets a girl named Lily and she inspires him to design a beautiful Dior dress. The song in this animation is actually sung by Marion Cotillard, and I find that her singing voice is very lovely!

Ray of Inspirology: Lady Dior S/S 2012 Campaign

Marion Cotillard continues to be the face of Lady Dior and I love this campaign series shot by Peter Lindbergh. The black and white one has a flawless composition and I especially like the curve shape of the roof. The colour one has a very nice spiral effect, which helps our eyes to stay on Marion and the bag.

Wave of Inspirology: L.A.dy Dior The Film

Christian Dior has released the latest short film, directed by John Cameron Mitchell, to promote the Lady Dior bag today and it features Marion Cotillard (she has been a spokesperson for this handbag for a few seasons now and I think she is representing the product very well). This is the first time Christian Dior creates a comedy film about this bag and trust me, it will make your day. While watching the film, do not forget to stare at those beautiful Lady Dior bags, I am pretty sure you will fall in love with one of the styles that is shown in this video.

How do you sell a high end handbag in the most artistic way? Ask Christian Dior promotion team.

Christian Dior has recently released a short film featuring Marion Cotillard and Sir Ian McKellan. The film is directed by Cameron Mitchell and it is used to promote the new Lady Dior bag. The whole film is very artistic and I am loving how Marion is placed in the hourglass. I cannot give out the plot here but after you watch it, you will probably have one thought: Is Marion's character a fairy?
