Picture Perfect: Chanel Cruise 2015 Campaign

Chanel has just released the Cruise 2015 campaign and I am in love with the images!

Karl Lagerfeld is once again the photographer of this series, and it features Joan Smalls and the adorable Hudson Korenig. This is such a good combination, and the final result is a series of clean and classy images.

Picture Perfect: My Market Day

Leave it to Anna Dello Russo to show you what F/W fashion is all about in this spread!

This editorial is featured in the October issue of Vogue Japan and shot by Giampaolo Sgura. Catherine Loewe, Hanne Gaby Odiele and Lindsey Wixson are dressed up for their supermarket run, and they are accompanied by Mariano Ontaro and Alessio Pozzi.  Anna Dello Russo always has a unique sense of style, and it really reflects in these images. Overall, I think the entire concept is cute, fun, and suits the Japanese market a lot.

Picture Perfect: Stella McCartney F/W 2014 Campaign

Stella McCartney has one of the most surreal campaigns in this F/W 2014 season and I love it!

This campaign is shot by Mert & Marcus and features the stunning Kate Moss. In here, the zipper connects the background and the supermodel in a very surreal way. I also enjoy watching the campaign video (KATE DREAMS), which extends the surreal idea from the prints.

Picture Perfect: Louis Vuitton F/W 2014 Campaign by Annie Leibovitz

For this season, Louis Vuitton has commissioned 3 high profile photographers to work on the campaign (Annie Leibovitz, Bruce Weber, and Juergen Teller). I feel this project is like a friendly competition, as everyone has his/her favourite mini series. For me, this is the winner.

This series is shot by Annie Leibovitz and features actress Charlotte Gainsbourg. I like the mood of these photos and the painter room setting reflects the artistic element of the brand in an indirect way. In general, this is the perfect campaign to represent this luxury brand.

Picture Perfect: Prabal Gurung F/W 2014 Campaign

Prabal Gurung has finally released the latest campaign images and they are absolutely stunning!

For this season, the designer has chosen Rosie Huntington-Whiteley to be the spokesperson of the brand. These shots are done by Daniel Jackson and they look regal, with a dark vibe. Rosie looks like a warrior here, and somehow, I keep associating these images with her upcoming movie Mad Max (release in 2015).

What will also amaze you is that the background you see in each image is actually not photoshopped, it is a physical backdrop created specifically for this campaign. Now my mind is totally blown away!

Ray of Inspirology: Lanvin F/W 2014 Campaign

It's a family affair!

I have been fascinated by Lanvin's campaign for the past few seasons because the creative team always creates something new and refreshing for the audience. For this season, the team has once again thought of an interesting idea by inviting Edie Campbell and her family to be in the campaign.

These beautiful shots are captured by Tim Walker. The shots are simple, yet they emit a very playful vibe. Once again, I love the concept of having the entire family together for this shoot and now this series has just become the Campbell family portrait session. These photos also show Lanvin is definitely for everyone (as long as you can afford the pieces).

In the future, I do wish: a) Tim Walker taking pictures of me and my family, and b) all of us will be wearing Lanvin.

Make sure you check out the video too because you will see a special appearance by Alber Elbaz!

Ray of Inspirology: Alexander McQueen F/W 2014 Campaign

I feel like I am having a Déjà vu moment right now. Why? Because this Alexander McQueen campaign is very close to what I have in mind.

This series of photos is shot by Steven Klein and it features supermodel Edie Campbell. If you saw the runway show back in February, then you should know the collection has a very dark fairytale twist and these photos can really show the aesthetic of it. The campaign is elegant, dark, haunting, and with a hint of bohemian vibe. Also, the horses add a nice touch to some of the photos as a princess in fairytale often ends up riding a horse (right?). To me, this is the perfect campaign to represent the house of Alexander McQueen.

Ray of Inspirology: Kenzo F/W 2014 Campaign

Every season, there are a few campaigns I am looking forward to see and Kenzo is one of them. The images are always fun, cheeky and sometimes surreal. This season is no exception.

Guinevere Van Seenus and Robbie McKinnon are the faces for this campaign and the photos are shot by Pierpaolo Ferrari. Once again, the images are very colourful, and have a very strong pop culture vibe.

Ray of Inspirology: Gucci F/W 2014 Campaign

Back to classic, and I love it!

Shot by Mert & Marcus, Gucci has recently released the F/W 2014 campaign images. In here, Natasha Poly, Raquel Zimmermann, Anja Rubik, Nadja Bender, Karmen Pedaru, Joan Smalls and Suvi Koponen are dressed in some of the iconic pieces in this season. I really like the fact that the background colours create a great contrast against the clothes to make the images look dynamic and refreshing.

Overall, the campaign reflects the elegant, classy, timeless and bold side of the fashion house flawlessly.

Ray of Inspirology: Mulberry F/W 2014 Campaign

I always have a soft spot for Mulberry, so when the brand decided not to have a runway show for the F/W 2014 collection, I felt a bit sad. Thankfully, the fashion house still managed to create a cool campaign for this season.

The photos are shot by Tim Walker and features top model Cara Delevingne. The countryside setting creates a very soothing mood for the campaign. Even though this series is less dreamy than before, it still reflects the elegant vibe of the fashion house.

Now I just hope Mulberry will have a runway show in this coming September!

P.S Not going to lie, the bags are amazing in this collection, especially the camo Cara Delevingne bag.

Ray of Inspirology: Moonstruck

Back in the days when I was a photographer, I always had a dream: I wanted to create an editorial featuring the members of Cirque Du Soleil. Well, this dream did not come true, but Michael David Adams has done it, and the result is beyond amazing.

This editorial is featured in the latest issue of Improper Bostonian, and Letecia Price is starring alongside the cast of Amaluna. Because of the smoke and the light effect, the entire series is very magical, yet filled with a strong mysterious vibe. The model and the cast complement each other very well to a point the viewers may feel Letecia is actually part of this circus show.

After looking at these photos, I believe I should really pick up my camera once again and hope this kind of opportunity will knock on my door one day.

Picture Perfect: Dior Secret Garden III

Since 2012, the house of Dior has been commissioning Inez and Vinoodh to produce a series called the Dior Secret Garden. Today, it's time to unveil the 3rd chapter of this series.

Top models Daria Strokous, Fei Fei Sun, and Katlin Aas are featured in this short film. Just like the previous chapters, the models are running around inside Château de Versailles aimlessly and the setting continues to be very surreal and elegant.

Now we will have to wait for 1 year before the release of chapter 4.

Ray of Inspirology: Ermenegildo Zegna Couture Fall 2014 Campaign

The new Ermenegildo Zegna Couture campaign is out and I am loving the fact that the fashion house picked Sam Riley as the face of the brand for this coming season!

The shots are done by Inez & Vinoodh and I like the secret agent theme a lot. Sam looks great in the Ermenegildo Zegna Couture pieces, and really shows the clean, modern vibe of the brand. Based on these shots, I now want to have a suit from this brand!
