Trendology: Hush Puppies x Anna Sui Oxford

I would have never thought of this combination if I didn't see this collection with my own eyes last week...

This season, Hush Puppies and Anna Sui have teamed up to create a capsule collection. Sui injects the fun and fresh vibe to the shoe brand and the result is pretty amazing. Out of all the designs, this oxford wedge is the one that has caught my eyes. I like the texture of it and the black and white design has made the shoe fun to wear. If you are a Anna Sui fan, you must get a pair for this season.

Trendology: Anna Sui RTW Fall 2010

Anna Sui is always about fantasies, and there are always inspiration from the nature.  This Fall RTW collection is not an exception,  Sui got her inspiration from the American Art and Craft and landscape.  The patterns and the cut, all transforming a hippie-princess on a runway show with the added fur and accessories.

Other than the clothing itself, accessories played a big part in the collection. The pendants are particular ones from a tile manufacturer, which Sui requested to have a reproduced of certain tiles back in the Art and Craft year.  The tights that have the same pattern that goes with the dress. If you pay more attention, there are more beautiful accessories to be named. The hats, the headpieces, brooches, boots…

Trendology: Anna Sui S/S 2010

In this spring/summer collection, Anna Sui is going for a circus/ retro theme. As usual, purple is this season's signature color but she has also used colors such as green, orange,  blue and yellow to make this season bright and cheerful.

What I really like from this collection is the ringleader jacket. It just makes the model looks smart, yet elegant. This collection also uses a lot of retro prints and I am sure we will see a wave of retro styles in the spring and summer time.

Here are some looks that I like from the show. If you want to see more of this show, please check here. All photos are courtesy of Style.com.
