Fashionist [On The Go]: Marc Jacobs Verus Kidult

This has been an interesting week in the fashion industry and here are the 2 most interesting news I have found on the Fashionist.

Kidult, a graffiti artist based in Paris has recently sprayed the word ART in front of Marc Jacobs store in SoHo NYC and in a surprising move, Marc Jacobs has decided to use that artwork for profit by printing the image on shirts. The tee shirt is selling for $689 BUT Kidult has already done a counter attack by printing a similar image with his ghostly figure on a tee shirt  and selling it for $8.80! [Read Here]

For all you Topshop and Topman fans in Canada, I am here to deliver a good news to you - The clothing store is expanding! This fall, Vancouver will have the largest Topshop/Topman store outside of the UK , downtown Toronto will have a store inside the Hudson Bay department store and The Bay in Montreal will also carry a capsule collection of Topman/Topshop. I am actually pretty excited about it since that is the only store I can find the pants that will fit me perfectly. [Read Here]

Trendology: TOPSHOP & TOPMAN Have Landed

I know, this might be old news for some of you but since I was not able to attend the media preview that day, I decided to take a trip to the new TOPSHOP and TOPMAN shop this weekend and yep, it was a pleasant experience.

The new TOPSHOP & TOPMAN is located at the Yorkdale Shopping Center and it is attached to the Bay with an area of 15,000 square feet. While the menswear is on the first floor, the second floor is all about the womenswear. As a guy, I like the selection for the TOPMAN as there is something for everyone (Please look for those accessories, there are some good ones there). For those of you who cannot make it to the store, no worry, because you can also buy some of the items online at the TOPMAN and TOPSHOP page.

Now, I wonder how much I will spend in the store in the near future... It's treasure hunt time!

Trendology: Marc Hare x Topman Shoes

If this collection would be coming to Toronto, I would be jumping for joy!

Marc Hare, the man behind the famous shoe brand Mr. Hare, is teaming up with Topman to produce 10 styles. You know Mr. Hare is all about quality shoes so I am sure this collection will be a great one. As of right now, this collection will be sold at Topman’s Oxford Circus, New York and Chicago stores in August. Hudson Bay Company, can you fulfill my wish and bring this collection to Toronto?

Fashionist[On The Go]: Topshop is finally coming to Toronto

It's Friday and it is time for me to pick some interesting stories from The Fashionist!

If you are a a loyal fan of Topshop or Topman, then you will be super excited to know this news. The Bay has announced Topshop and Topman will be opening in Canada and some of the stores will be within The Bay department stores. I do think it is about time for this mega store to come to Canada and I can't wait to see how many stores will open in Toronto in the near future. [Read Here]

Trendology: Topman LTD "Equestrian" Fall 2010 Collection

My eyes are fixed on this collection but sadly I do not think I can find them in Toronto.

Topman LTD, a line from Topman, has recently released the photos of the latest collection online. This collection is inspired by horseback riding as you can see horse prints are seen on some of the articles. My favorite will be the quilted skinny blazers and the navy quilted sweatshirt. Also, as a shoe freak, my eyes are all on leather ankle boots. That color, sole and height are a perfect combination for a nice pair of boots (I hope it will be comfortable too). I wish I could fly to London and check out this wonderful collection right now.
