While we are all still looking at the spring/summer collections, Karl Lagerfeld is ahead of the game and has already started to showcase his Chanel Pre Fall 2010 collection. The fashion show is set in Shanghai China and this already gives a hint of what he is going to showcase to the audience.
This season is definitely the result of East meets West. The main colors of this season are red and black which are the traditional colors of China. If you take a look at the clothes, you can see that Karl is getting inspiration from the Empire period of China and he tries to modify the clothes to look as modern and classy as possible. If Coco Chanel happened to be a Chinese, I am sure this would be how she crated her Chanel line in China. Now I can't wait for the fall/winter 2010 runway show from Chanel.
