Chanel has just released the Cruise 2015 campaign and I am in love with the images!
Karl Lagerfeld is once again the photographer of this series, and it features Joan Smalls and the adorable Hudson Korenig. This is such a good combination, and the final result is a series of clean and classy images.

Walk the Walk: Fendi S/S 2015 Collection
Fendi has been on fire lately, and for the coming S/S 2015 season, Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Venturini Fendi once again proved the fashion house will continue to be every editor's favourite by presenting yet another flawless runway show. And the most importantly, the line is getting younger!
Fendi S/S 2015 contained everything needed to be in an excellent collection: wearables, non wearables, artistic prints, fun accessories and great footwear. The prints were lovely and reminded people of tropical places like Hawaii. Cutout and shredded designs were not new to the fashion industry, but thee 2 elements added a nice futuristic touch to many of the garments. The 4 dresses in the final were definitely editorial materials - they were pretty and edgy.
Karl and Silvia once again worked their magic to create a stunning collection, and it is a guarantee that we will be seeing a lot of garments on editorials in the new season.
Pros:
- Great to see how the designers use one single floral print (orchid) to create so many outfits for this collection. It's a memorable move.
- The shredded idea is refreshing, so is the ombre effect.
- Love the cutout idea, this gives a futuristic vibe to the collection.
- The accessories are amazing! Love the fur keychain/ornament!
- How can they insert those stripes of fabrics without any stitching? Breathtaking.
Eye Candies:
- Cut out organdy dress
- The fur figure keychain/ornament
- Grey leather jacket with 3D embossed orchid
- White and black ombre shredded skirt suit

Picture Perfect: Dior Homme F/W 2014 Campaign
Karl Lagerfeld + Kris Van Assche, I actually quite like this combination!
For this season, Dior Homme has once again commissioned Karl Lagerfeld to shoot the campaign. The photos are clean and simple, which reflect the aesthetic of the collection. To make this campaign a little bit surreal, Karl has used a giant Dior sign, and I actually think it works nicely with the models.

Dots[Connection]: The Living Legends
Here is your weekly Draw A Dot. recap!
Starting this month, I am collaborating with Shamekh on an amazing illustration project. We are going to look back to the Marc Jacobs' Louis Vuitton era and combine two collections in each illustration piece. Here is the first one. [Read Here]
Do you know the everyday life of Karl Lagerfeld? If so, then you are going to love this illustration series by Natasha Shaloshvili! The images are very playful and I must admit, Choupette is too adorable here. [Read Here]

Ray of Inspirology: Fashion Designer Portraits by Simon Procter
It's been awhile since I last heard from Simon Procter and this morning, he sent me a great surprise!
This editorial is a collaboration work between Procter and artist Berndnault Smilde and it is featured in the latest issue of Harper Bazaar US. Domenico Dolce, Stefano Gabbana, Donatella Versace, Alber Elbaz and Karl Lagerfeld are the subjects of this shoot and the grand settings really suit the aesthetic of the designers. I also really like the vivid colours and the interesting cloud in this shoot.

Ray of Inspirology: Singular Beauties
After The Little Black Jacket project, Carine Roitfeld and Karl Lagerfeld have joined forces once again to create another stunning editorial for the September issues of Harper's Bazaar Australia.
This editorial is the third portfolio of Carine as the Harper's Bazaar's Global Fashion Director and it is all about the celebration of diversity of women. Some of the faces you will recognize instantly are Scarlett Johansson, Dakota Fanning, Lily Collins, Karen Elson, Lily Donaldson, and Liberty Ross. They are all dressed in the latest F/W 2013 iconic pieces and each outfit really shows the personality of each woman. Personally, my favourite photo of this editorial is Dakota Fanning in Louis Vuitton (the expression is perfect).

Ray of Inspirology: Fendi F/W 2013 Campaign
I am happy to see two of my favourite models in the new Fendi F/W 2013 campaign!
These campaign images are once again shot by Karl Lagerfeld and they feature Cara Delevingne and Saskia de Brauw. Both models look very refreshing here and I especially love the portrait shot of Saskia.
After looking at these images, I just want to visit Rome and visit the city again.
P.S Fur glasses are going to be the IT item of this sesaon!

Ray of Inspirology: Chanel Pre-Fall 2013 Campaign
The best pre-fall campaign at the moment? It has to be Chanel.
The latest campaign is shot by Karl Lagerfeld and it features style icon Tilda Swinton. From background to clothing, lighting to composition, everything is perfect here and the images really capture the vibe of this collection. I seriously can look at these images all day long.

StyleNotes[Cheat Sheet]: Oscar's Best Actresses
So, by this moment, I am sure everyone has seen the Oscars red carpet, but if you live under a rock, please click here to see some of the best/worst dresses.
So many people were talking about one thing after the show: why did Anne Hathaway switch dress (from Valentino to Prada)? Well apparently, she knew that "someone" was wearing the similar design to the event and so she did the last minute switch. Well, the dress didn't stun us, but maybe she is saving the best look for the Best Leading Actress moment in the near future. [Read Here]
If you follow the pre-fall collection, you should know Chanel Pre-Fall 2013 collection has a very strong Scottish vibe. Because of that, Karl Lagerfeld has chosen Tilda Swinton to be the face of the campaign. I honestly cannot wait to see the campaign images and I am sure they will be amazing! [Read Here]

It's understandable why Anne switched dress, but yeah, that was not the winning dress. (source: StyleNotes)

Ray of Inspirology: La Couture Enchantée
I always love to see Haute Couture editorials because I want to see what kind of fantasy world the photographer will create with these stunning pieces. In the latest issue of Numero, Karl Lagerfeld has done a great job with this shoot.
The images are magical and the most stunning pieces from the entire S/S 2013 Haute Couture season are showcased here. I particularly love the Dior piece, and that might have something to do with Jennifer Lawrence (she wore that to the Oscars). The entire editorial is very dreamy and it reminds me of the enhanted forest from Avatar. Of course, how can I not say how beautiful Natalia Vodianova is in these images?

Walk the Walk: Fendi F/W 2013 Collection
Fur. A lot of fur.
Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Venturini Fendi represented yet another amazing Fendi collection today in Milan. If you have been following this brand, you should remember the yellow fur coat from F/W 2012 collection. This time, the designers have raised the bar of the fur game and created more amazing colourful pieces. There are fur stripes, fur fringes, fur panels and fur accessories. Even though a lot of colours are involved in this collection, in general, it is very cohesive and it's because of the fur element again. If you are not a fan of fur, there are still some nice leather pieces, such as the biker jacket, for you to choose form this collection. Even though the silhouettes are leaning towards relaxing fits, I do find these pieces to be very modern because of the innovative designs and cuttings (like the oval shape cut at the bottom of the biker jacket).
After seeing this collection, I wonder what the designers will do to raise the bar of the fur game again in the future.
Pros:
- There are so many innovative ways to use fur in this collection.
- I love how the designers apply different colours on the fur and make these pieces to look young and modern.
- The accessories are going to be the IT items next season
- I am in love with those leather pieces, especially the biker jacket.
Cons:
- None
Eye Candies:
- Fur shoes
- Fur sunglasses
- Blue leather biker jacket
- Colour fur stripes sweater
- Black one piece dress with blue fur panels
- Fur fringe skirt

StyleNotes[Cheat Sheet]: The controversies
This week's cheat sheet is about the controversial things happening in the fashion world.
Benetton has just released its S/S 2013 campaign and one of the models in it is Lea T. There are other high profile models involved in this campaign but seriously, who can steal Lea T's spotlight? [Read Here]
Chanel Haute Couture runway show was on Tuesday and the final was quite controversial. Karl sent out 2 brides with a kid in Chanel Couture to show his support for gay marriage. I personally think this is a very good move for Karl and this scene is probably going to be one of the iconic moments of Chanel history. [Read Here]
If you are a fan of Lauren Conrad, you may want to enter this contest and win her latest book, "Beauty".

Fashion[Knowledge]: The Little Black Jacket: Chanel's Classic Revisited
Back in April, I wrote an entry about The Little Black Jacket project by Chanel and now these images are all published in a book.
If you have not heard of this project, this is about the celebration of Chanel's iconic little black jacket. All the photos are shot by Karl Lagerfeld and styled by Carine Roitfeld. Some of the celebrities in this book include Claudia Schiffer, Uma Thurman, Kanye West, Tilda Swinton, Baptiste Giabiconi, Yoko Ono and Sarah Jessica Parker. You can now purchase this book online at Indigo. I think this will be a perfect gift to someone who likes fashion, especially if he or she is a Chanel fan.

Ray of Inspirology: Chanel Cruise 2013 Promotion Campaign
Yes, you read this right, while we are still in the fall/winter season, the fashion world is already on the 2013 promotion campaign. First up, we have Chanel.
Karl Lagerfeld chooses Cara Delevingne and Saskia de Brauw (one of my favourites) for the faces of Chanel Cruise collection 2013 and I think they fit the aesthetic of the collection very well. I like the composition and the royal background adds an elegant touch to the images. Of course, how can we not love the clothes on both ladies?

Ray of Inspirology: Manège Couture
I have to say, I often enjoy seeing Karl Lagerfeld's photos when they are in black and white and the following editorial is just another good example to prove my point.
In the latest issue of Numero, Karl shoots some of his favourite models (Karlie Kloss, Daria Strokous, Lindsey Wixson, Edie Campbell, Saskia De Brauw, and Kati Nescher) in a spread styled by Rebecca Bleynie & Vanessa Metz. All models are dressed in haute couture pieces (that JPG 3D corset will be a new iconic piece) and Karl does a very good job by capturing the best poses of the models. I feel like some of the images a very timeless and can definitely use them as art pieces. What do you think?

Ray of Inspirology: Dior Homme F/W 2012 Promotion Campaign
Dior Homme F/W 2012 campaign is here and I think it is very special. The images are shot by Karl Lagerfeld and Dior has decided to use 3 Asian models (Daisuke Ueda, Hao Yun Xiang and Nan Fulong) to be in the campaign. This is a rare case and I really appreciate what the brand is doing here. I hope we will see more campaigns like this in the future!

Ray of Inspirology: Fendi F/W 2012 Promotion Campaign
Oh Joan Smalls, you can never disappoint me!
Here are some of the images of Fendi's new campaign featuring supermodel Joan Smalls. The images are shot by Karl Lagerfeld and I really really like the outdoor location of the shoot. Of course, Smalls looks flawless here and until this day, I still find that yellow fur coat to be mesmerizing!
