Trendology: Chanel Pre-Fall 2011 Collection

As Karl explained, this season's theme is Paris-Byzance which is inspired by Empress Theodora and the lost culture of Byzantium.  Karl never disappoints us in his creativity and choice of inspiration, and anything through his hands would become extraordinary.  In this collection, the braids, the gold chains, the feathers and the fringes are having a very unique chemistry with the Chanel style, especially with their signature tweed.

  1. Gosh, I actually don't like these. Too loose and middle eastern. I like more structure.

  2. I think middle eastern style fashion can be a nice inspiration. A lot of designers used it before, but I think Chanel just did it in a different way because they kept the Chanel style instead of going all middle easternish.
