[Burberry] Rhythm: A New à la mode Segment

We are bringing you an excited news today!

After the successful broadcast we had for Burberry last week, we are now adding a new segment to our site.

We have always been a fan of the Burberry Acoustic segment since the it first launched last June. Christopher Bailey, the Chief Creative Officer of Burberry, has discovered many emerging musicians and he gives them a chance to perform on Burberry's youtube channel. All performances are filmed exclusively for Burberry and we think this is a good way to give the musicians a chance to promote themselves. When we listen to their performances, we always feel there is a breathe of fresh air entering our bodies.

The mission of  à la mode is similar to what Burberry is doing right now, to discover new talents and give them a platform to showcase their skills. Because of that, we have talked to the Burberry team in New York and decided to have a weekly post on the Burberry Acoustic segment which à la mode readers will be able to see the amazing performances by some emerging artists in the UK.

This is what Christopher Bailey has to say about this project:

“We have collaborated on so many projects with new and young emerging British bands over the years.
We felt that with the great interaction that we have experienced with our social media website artofthetrench that we could collaborate with musicians and artists to put together an incredible group of ongoing acoustic sessions from some of the finest talent coming out of the UK and bring them to the broad global Burberry audience”.

We hope you will be as excited as us since music has always been a big factor in our lives and we would love to spread this universal language to more people in the world. Stay tuned for our first post.

  1. I have always enjoyed the melding of art and fashion. Indeed, fashion is an artform in itself. I'm looking forward to FAT because of the combination of visual art and fashion design. Burberry has done a nice job of promoting audible art as well!
