Picture Perfect: Burberry F/W 2016 Campaign

Burberry released the latest campaign earlier this week and I am actually excited for this because this is the first time the brand has used an illustrator for a campaign!

Edie Campbell and Callum Turner are the faces for this campaign and they are shot by Mario Testino. This campaign also marks the tenth year since Edie made her first debut for Burberry. Aside from the photos, the brand also commissioned fashion illustrator Luke Edward Hall to create a series of illustrations to be part of the campaign. This illustration + photography combination really works and these images remind me of artworks you will see at a gallery show.

This campaign definitely marks a new chapter for the brand! Bravo!

Picture Perfect: Burberry 2015 Festive Campaign

Burberry festive campaign is always the campaign I look forward the most in November and this year's one is definitely the best to date.

2015 marks the 15th anniversary of Billy Elliot and Burberry uses one of the songs "Cosmic Dance" as the music of this campaing. Unlike the previous seasons, this time Christopher Bailey has invited many well known Birtish entertainers include Sir Elton John, James Corden, Julie Walters,
Romeo Beckham, Naomi Campbell, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Michelle
Dockery, James Bay, George Ezra and Toby Huntington-Whiteley to be in the campaign video. Both video and photos are shot by Mario Testino and everyone is jumping up and down with joyful expressions.

After watching this video, I think I am ready for the holiday season!

Walk the Walk: Burberry Prorsum F/W 2015 Collection

This is probably the best Burberry Prorsum collection Christopher Bailey has designed in recent seasons!

The collection has a very strong bohemian vibe because of the paisley and floral prints and the fringe element. It's a very refreshing experience to see a suede poncho on a Burberry Prorsum runway, as this is not an item I thought Christopher Bailey would design (it's a pleasant surprise!).  As usual, the outerwear is stunning in this collection, especially the floral print trench coat. The dresses are also so beautiful, especially the ones with the mirror embellishments. These embellishments make the ladies glow (reflection) on the runway.

While the clothes are amazing, my eyes just cannot stop looking at the shoes. I personally think the boots look pretty and playful, which will look great in editorials!

Overall, this is a perfect collection, and I am happy to see Christopher Bailey continues to create surprises for his fans!

If you like this collection, make sure you visit Burberry website to pre-order few of the items (ends on March 9th). Oh, did you know you can also personalize these purchases as well? If I were you, I would head to the site now!

Pros:
- Love the bohemian vibe of this collection. The paisley and floral prints are so pretty!
- The dresses are so pretty in this collection. They are good for all occasions.
- Love how Christopher adds the floral print to the trench coats to give them a very bohemian vibe.
- The fringe is a major element in this collection. It adds a fun factor to the garments and accessories.
- The boots are very attractive this season!
- Again, I just love the prints!

Eye Candies:
- Patchwork quilted trench coat
- All the patch work dresses
- The Bucket bag in fringe
- Layered fringe cape
- The sheer floral print dress with mirror embellishments

Picture Perfect: Burberry Prorsum S/S 2015 Campaign

Burberry Prorsum S/S 2015 campaign is finally here, and guess what? An iconic supermodel is back for this fashion house!

This season, Christopher Bailey invited Jourdan Dunn, George Barnett (British musician, drummer in These New Puritans), George Le Page (British musician, drummer in Of Empires), and supermodel Naomi Campbell (her last Burberry campaign was in 2001!) to be the faces of the campaign. The images are once again shot by Mario Testino, and they are very clean and classy. Here is what Christopher Bailey has to say about the female cast:

"Naomi and Jourdan – two great British icons, two strong, beautiful women and the two perfect faces for our new campaign. It is, as always, a real privilege to work with them."

You can see some behind the scene photos after the jump!

Object of Desire: Burberry Holiday Key Chains

Most of the time, I will be attracted to small delicate accessories, especially during the holiday season (fashion brands just like to produce them during this time of period). Here are 2 of my favourites from this season.

These 2 lovely keychains are form Burberry. I love how the design team uses geometric shapes to create the British Policeman and Grenadier Guard. They are very fun and are the perfect holiday gifts for your close friends and family members. Don't they remind you of the toy blocks you used to play with when you were small?

You can now purchase these items at Burberry flagship stores and its online store.

Picture Perfect: From London with Love Starring Romeo Beckham

Burberry always knows how to create attractive campaigns to promote special occasions, and this year's holiday campaign is one of the best I have seen in years!

In recent store opening events, Burberry has been doing a lot of musical style performances to entertain the guests. This concept is now used in the 4 minutes long holiday campaign, and features Romeo Beckham as the "cupid" of this story line. The short film is beautifully done, and contains all the great gifts you can find from this fashion house.

Now please excuse me as I need to watch this campaign again (and possibly the entire day).

Object of Desire: My Burberry

This Fall, Burberry has a new fragrance for the women - My Burberry.

According to Christopher Bailey, Chief Creative and Chief Executive Officer, "My Burberry is the true embodiment of our brand, in scent, in design and in attitude. A fragrance that takes its lead from the iconic Burberry trench has to be outstanding in every way".

My Burberry is a floral fragrance and has the following notes:
Tops Notes: Sweet pea & bergamot oil
Heart Notes: Golden quince & freesia with a dash of geranium oil
Base Notes: Rose absolute & patchoili oil

Walk the Walk: Burberry Prorsum S/S 2015 Menswear Collection

After seeing the womenswear pre-spring collection, fans of Burberry Prorsum should have a good idea that vintage British poetry and literary book covers would be a major element for the S/S 2015 collection. As expected, when Christopher Bailey presented the menswear collection in London today, at least 80% of the items were covered in either words or great illustrations.

The collection was called "Book Covers & Bruce Chatwin", which all graphics were inspired by acclaimed novelist and travel writer Bruce Chatwin. It's not the first time Bailey infused the art element into fashion, but this time, he did it flawlessly to bring the brand to a whole new level. The word print trench coat was great, so were the book cover print satchels.

Preppy British gentleman was still the main focus of this line, but this time, there were 2 major twists. Instead of dress shoes, the British gentleman would be wearing colourful sneakers to do his daily errands. At the same time, he liked to wear denim, possibly because he wanted to add a rock and roll flare to his wardrobe.

By combining graphics, denim and sneakers, the Burberry Prorsum man had evolved. He became very youthful, energetic, yet still carried the classic and elegant vibe.

Pros:
- It's great to see the denim series in this collection. The denim trench coat is without a doubt, the IT item.
- Truly appreciate how Christopher Bailey infuses illustrations into this collection.
- The book cover print satchel bags are fun to carry around in the S/S season.
- The word print scarf is a nice accessory to give your outfit a refreshing boost.
- The books are fun, I hope they will be in production.
- Many of the silhouettes suit very well on people with small body frame.
- Because of the colour palette, the entire collection has a very strong cheerful and fun vibe.

Cons:
- I wish the satchel with the book cover print can come in a smaller size so many of us can use them as every day bag.

Eye Candies:
- Denim trench coat
- Book cover print leather jacket
- Sneakers
- Travel Satchel in book cover print
- The books

From now till June 24, you can visit Burberry website to pre order some of your favourite products from this collection.

Trendology: Burberry Prorsum Pre-Spring 2015 Collection

Today, Burberry has released the new Pre-Spring 2015 collection, and as usual, many of the looks are very beautiful!

Just like the F/W 2014 collection, the prints in here are hand painted and they are inspired by vintage British poetry and literary book covers. The safari jacket creates an interesting contrast against the elegant dresses. I am personally a fan of dégradé dip-dye so without a doubt, I am completely in love with those dégradé garments. Lastly, if you are a fan of sequins, then you will love those oversize sequins pencil skirts as they are very playful and elegant.

Based on these garments, I believe in September Christopher Bailey will present a collection inspired by safari and dégradé dip-dye. I am excited!

Walk the Walk: Burberry Prorsum F/W 2014 Menswear Collection

Christopher Bailey has just presented the new Burberry Prorsum menswear collection in London, and this time, his inspiration is from the following painters: Ben Nicholson, Christopher Wood, Lucian Freud and Duncan Grant.

In general, this is a very colourful collection, with a lot of amazing hand painted accessories on the runway. The oversized silhouette reminds me of the early 90s (or late 80s) and of course, the trench coats continue to be the highlight of the brand. I am loving the prints, especially on the scarves and the bags.

Once again, this collection has something for everyone and I am sure you will see a lot of London maps garments in the streetstyle photos in June.  You can now head over to Burberry.com to pre order some of the looks from this collection.

Pros:
- I am a fan of the prints in this collection, especially they are mostly hand painted.
- The scarves will be a trend in this coming season and I quite like the selections here.
- The St. Ives bag is the focus point of this collection and there are just so many different designs to it (I am loving the New York motif one).
- The oversized silhouette is quite interesting, as it reminds me of the late 80s, early 90s.

Cons:
- I love the bags, but they are clearly not for petite costumers. If the size of the bag can decrease by half, I am sure I will be interested in getting one.

Eye Candies:
- The bags
- The silk scarves
- Black biker jacket
- Hand painted leather caban
- Brocade needle punch jacket
- Lightweight silk trenchcoat
- The London map shirt

Ray of Inspirology: Burberry S/S 2014 Campaign

Many brands have already released their S/S 2014 campaigns, and here is the latest one from Burberry.

Courtesy of Burberry/ Mario Testino

Burberry campaign is like a fortune teller, as most of the time it hints who will be the next big British model/celebrity in the world (Edie Campbell, Eddie Redmayne, Cara Delevingne to just name a few). This season, Christopher Bailey has picked British actor Jamie Campbell Bower, British musician Leo Dobson and British models Malaika Firth, Matilda Lowther, Neelam Johal, Callum Ball and newcomer Jean Campbell to be part of this campaign. Once again, the photos are shot by Mario Testino and the models are posed against pastel colour backgrounds to reflect the softness of this season's collections (Brit, London, Prorsum).

Below is the video of this campaign.

Here are 2 behind the scene photos from the campaign:

So which face(s) do you think will be the next big star(s) in the future?

Trendology: Burberry Prorsum Eyelet Detail iPad Mini Case

I am pretty sure a lot you are in the middle of holiday shopping right now, and if you have no idea what to give to your fashionable tech friends, may I suggest this cool iPad mini case?

This iPad mini case is from Burberry Prorsum. I love the metal eyelets and the brogue detail adds a nice elegant touch to the case.  Overall, it is very edgy and if your tech friend uses his/her iPad mini all the time and needs an awesome case, I think this will be the perfect choice.

You can now purchase this case on Burberry online store.

Wave of Inspirology: Festive 2013 - Burberry With Love

The gifting season is finally here and a lot of brands have created special campaigns to promote their seasonal products. Out of all the campaigns I have seen so far, Burberry is probably most memorable one to date.

The campaign is extremely festive and I enjoy the London graphic scene a lot. The video gives off a very warm vibe, and if you look closely, some of the snow flakes are actually in heart shapes. Because of this campaign, I have actually visited the website and even though I don't have an iPad mini, my eyes are set on this lovely case right now!

Have you started your holiday shopping yet?

Trendology: Bruberry Travel Tailoring

As a man, one of the important fashion items in my closet is a well fitted suit. Trust me, it's actually very hard to find one that will make you look stunning from the crowd and today, I think Burberry might have the perfect suit that makes me want to ditch my current one.

For this season, Burberry has introduced the Burberry Travel Tailoring series, and the suits are made of "memory fabrics"(100% Italian wool and fine Merino). This means the suit will be elastic and it will keep in shape even if you have big movements. I personally am in love with this new collection and you can visit Burberry website to get more information (watch the video on the site as it is very interactive).

Trendology: Burberry Brit Rhythm

Today, Burberry has released the latest fragrance for men and it's called Burberry Brit Rhythm.

This fragrance is Burberry's first fragrance launch since taking its beauty business in house and it is inspired by music (as you know, Christopher Bailey is a big music fan). The scent fists the image of a musician a lot as it contains notes such as spicy cardamom, black leather, cedarwood and warm tonka bean. Here is what Christopher Bailey has to say about this fragrance:
"Sexy and provocative, Brit Rhythm is inspired by the exhilaration and adrenaline of live music and the electric energy of the crowd."
For this campaign, the brand has invited British actress Suki Waterhouse and British musician George Barnett of These New Puritans to be part of it and you can watch the video below. Also, the brand is inviting you to be part of the "tattoos" campaign which you can get a free sample of the fragrance. Once you sign up, you will also automatically enter a prize draw and the prize is one of the three live music events held at unexpected venues in London, New York and Singapore in October. Ray of Inspirology: Burberry F/W 2013 Campaign

The new Burberry F/W campaign has arrived and to me, the images are very romantic and classic.

For this campaign, Christopher Bailey has picked real life couple Sienna Miller and Tom Sturridge to be shot by Mario Testino. The images are in black and white, which highlight the elegancy of the collection. Also, the image above instantly reminds us of Burberry Kisses, the interactive platform that is created by Burberry and Google.

Now I am curious to see what images will the brand release next month.

Walk the Walk: Burberry Prorsum S/S 2014 Menswear Collection

Christoper Bailey finally brought the Burberry Prorsum menswear show to London today and the S/S 2014 collection was a symbol of celebration.

The collection is inspired by Alan Bennett and David Hockney and the pieces are very colourful and sporty. The outerwear pieces are perfect for the spring season and my favourites are the cagoules. If you are into prints, you are going to love the English flowers pattern shirt and also the spot scarves. The colourful Wave sunglasses (even the lenses are in colours) are very trendy and I am also happy to know skinny tie is making a come back.

Overall, this is a well done collection and I am sure cagoules will be a hit next season (you probably will see them appear on numerous editorials). Christopher Bailey, thanks for creating yet another amazing collection!

You can now pre-order most of the pieces at Burberry website and you can even personalize them!

Pros:
- This collection is very sporty with tons of colourful pieces.
- There are a lot of nice knitwear in this collection and they are good for the slightly cool spring weather.
- The Wave sunglasses are cool, especially they come in different colours.
- The cagoule is a must have this coming season.
- And... skinny tie is back!

Cons:
- Would love to see more bag styles. The duffle bag is not really my cup of tea.

Eye Candies:
- Green bonded poplin caban jacket
- Stripes skinny ties
- Spots scarf
- Wave sunglasses
- Red weatherproof bonded cagoule
- Floral print overshirt

Funkology: Burberry Kisses

So you want to send a virtual kiss to your friend, who lives far away from you? Now you can.

Burberry has teamed up with Google to bring you the "Burberry Kisses" experience. On that page (Kisses.Burberry.com), you can use either your touch screen device ("kiss" the screen) or Google Chrome (kiss recognition technology) to send your kiss to anyone in the world. You can also use the Burberry Beauty lip colour to colour your kiss.

Courtesy of Burberry

The best part of this experience is "the journey of each kiss is then brought to life through a personalized animation showing rich, three-dimensional city skylines, charting its progress from the sender’s location to the recipient’s. (thanks to the Google Earth and Street View Technologies)"

Now that you know there is a platform to send kisses, why don't you try it out now at Kisses.Burberry.com?
