Walk the Walk: Gucci S/S 2012 Collection

Frida presented an amazing Gucci S/S 2012 collection on the first day of Milan Fashion Week and something is clearly different about this season!

Those fake flowers from F/W collection no longer can be seen in this collection, but instead, there are these elements: animal prints, fringe and art deco designs. There is one common element that links the whole collection together and that is the gold accent on many of the pieces. The details on the clothes are pretty amazing and they give a very bold and edgy look to the whole collection. Overall, I think Frida has outdone herself agin and I am looking forward to see those shinny evening pieces to be in editorials soon!

Pros:
- This is like a Safari meets modern word collection.
- The jade green and orange sapphire colour works so well with the black and white colour palette.
- The gold accent on the pieces are stunning! The detailing is so precise and carefully planned.
- I like the use of animal prints in this collection and Frida has given a twist to most on them (e.g gold alligator jacket)
- Of course, the evening wear is absolutely stunning. I love the play on different lengths of fringe. Those pieces are shinny!

Cons:
- The shoes do not really wow me here.

Eye Candies:
- White/black/gold gown with short length fringe
- Black jacket with the gold chain and white lapel
- Gold alligator jacket
- black pants with gold buttons at the bottom
