Walk the Walk: Versace F/W 2012 Menswear Collection

When every brand is doing the gentleman image for the F/W collection, Donatella has decided to switch gear and create a cool edgy image for her man.

This is a rather daring collection when compares to other brands. First of all, I like the motorcyclist and military elements on many of the pieces. Then, I like the new camouflage pattern created by the Versace which is very refreshing and edgy. The gold chain element is also making a fashion statement in this collection and expect to see those pieces in editorials very soon. Last but not least, how can you not love those crystallized evening wear?

If this collection does not scream the glory days of Gianni Versace, I am not too sure if we are watching the same show.

Pros:
- The floral/camouflage (Versace has coined the term "flora-flage" for it) print is very refreshing. I have never thought of combining these 2 things together.
- The gold chain element is either a hit or miss on the fashion writer's book, and for me, is a hit. It's a very daring approach.
- The crystallized evening wear series is pretty stunning.
- I am in love with the colour palette. It's colourful and gives life to the collection

Cons:
- The colour camouflage pieces are very fun to look at, but I don't think they are very wearable.

Eye Candies:
- Black leather jacket
- Gold chain denim jacket
- Black blazer with crystallized lapel
- The ties
