For this season, Sarah Burton decided to take a sporty approach and play with the swirl prints. The oversized silhouette was seen on many of the looks, and the pants were wider than the previous seasons. The layering idea was fresh on the first few looks, as it carried a very strong futuristic vibe. The colour combinations of the swirl print were refreshing as well, especially the blue and yellow version.
Overall, this collection may not be the cup of tea for everyone, but props to Sarah Burton for trying something new for the McQueen's menswear line.
Excited to see what she will be designing for S/S 2015 womenswear collection.
Pros:
- It's a very surprising move to see Sarah Burton created a sporting collection for the brand.
- The colour combination is great in this collection
- The details are great, especially the first few looks, which have a futuristic vibe.
- I like the swirl print, it's abstract and adds a refreshing touch to the collection.
Cons:
- As much as I know it's the trend, I wish some of the pieces can have a shorter length so they can fit customers like me.
Eye Candies:
- Black blazer with red panels
- The bags
- The sneakers with the swirl prints
