Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli are pretty much on fire lately. First, their Valentino F/W 2013 menswear collection left me with excitement and today, the Valentino S/S 2013 Haute Couture collection gave me what I wanted in a couture collection.
In general, this collection was very romantic with lots of amazing details. I was in love with the 3D swirls (not too sure if they should be considered as baroque) on the first few pieces as this little element really showed the impeccable craftsmanship. There were so many different styles of gowns presented in this show and each of them had a different purpose for different events. Did I mention the shoes were very beautiful too?
If Valentino himself was giving you a standing ovation at the end of the show, you pretty much knew you had nailed this collection. Bravo Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli!
Pros:
- I love the colour palette. The red is so vibrant and the white gives a very innocent vibe.
- Every dress has a very different purpose for each event. Each dress is like a full bloom flower. It's beautiful.
- I am completely in love with the 3D details o the fashion pieces. This really shows the impeccable craftsmanship of the Valentino design team.
- Make sure you check out the shoes. They are beautifully crafted!
Cons:
- None.
Eye Candies:
- I pretty much love everything in this collection. So many options and they are all equally beautiful.

Trendology: Valentino Resort 2013 Collection
This collection is beyond beautiful!
Floral lace is always a strong element in the Valentino empire and under the hands of Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli, this element has a new modern life. Neon colour palette has dominated this resort collection and I am fascinated by the neon colour floral lace. The 60's feminine silhouette makes the Valentino girl look so beautiful. Out of all the pieces, the one that has completely captured my heart is the black tulle gown with the leather bodice, I just cannot stop looking at it!
If this is a preview of the S/S collection, then consider I am already excited for the September show!

Walk the Walk: Valentino S/S 2013 Menswear Collection
Spring 2013 is a very sporty season for Valentino. Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Palo Piccioli combine couture and military element to create a fun collection. There are some very nice sport jackets and also the denim suit has to be one of the highlights of this collection. One thing that worths mentioning is the camouflage you see is not print, but is made by heat-bonding, and I think this scores bonus points for entire collection.

Pros:
- I like the military colour palette.
- The suits are as usual, amazing!
- The sneakers are nice and they look comfy.
- I am in love with those bags, I would love to get one next season.
Cons:
- Personally, I am not a big fan of loose fit pieces, they look a little awkward on small frame men.
Eye Candies:
- Black/red/nude/white sport leather jacket
- Denim suit
- Sneakers
- Bags
