Walk the Walk: Dolce & Gabbana S/S 2014 Collection

Sicily continues to be the inspiration for Dolce & Gabbana, and for the S/S 2014 season, the designers have added the mythological card to the mix.

The temples from Magna Graecia become the beautiful graphic prints on many of the pieces and just like the menswear, the gold coins play a major role in this collection. You can see this particular element on dresses, shoes, jewellery and belts. One of the new elements I didn't see on the menswear is the almond blossoms. This print is very refreshing, and it represents rebirth in Ancient Greece. From print to appliqué, this element adds a romantic touch to the collection.

Of course, when it comes to the Dolce & Gabbana show, the highlight will always be the grand finale. This time, the designers have sent out an army of models all dressed in gold lace and they look like the modern Greek goddess.

After looking at the runway show, I have to say the brand has pushed romanticism to a new level.

Pros:
- I am always a fan of Dolce & Gabbana's feminine silhouettes and this season is no exception.
- I cannot get over the Almond flowers appliqué on the dresses. This is such a nice touch to the collection.
- The black series continues to be a stable of the brand and I love the coins embellishments on some of the pieces.
- The temple print adds a classical vibe to the collection.
- The footwear collection continues to amaze me
- The gold army grand finale is breathtaking.

Cons:
- None

Eye Candies:
- The gold coin dress
- The dresses with almond flowers appliqué
- The finale red layer "tinsel" dress
- Black lace dress with coin embellishments
- Temple print dress
- Red lace coat
