Walk the Walk: Versace S/S 2014 Collection

Donatella Versace presented her S/S 2014 yesterday at Milan and the Versace girls are going to continue rocking the fashion world next season.

For this season, the sharp studs are gone, but instead, the designer has introduced the metal chains, which reflect the bold vibe of the brand. The denim pieces look very edgy to a point I wish Donatella could created some evening gowns with this material. Also, the hook-and-eye closing adds a rock attitude to many of the pieces, such as the denim pencil skirt. However, if you are more into the classic Versace pieces, you will for sure love some of the evening gowns here, especially the blue laser cut floral gown.

I personally believe this is a very strong collection and it is funny how Selena Gomez image kept popping in my head while watching the show (and I know she was at the show). Maybe the singer can be in the campaign next season?

Pros:
- The denim pieces are so strong in the collection. The texture of the material is very interesting.
- The hook-and-eye closing is a refreshing element in this collection. It shows the rebellious attitude of the brand.
- The floral denim pants is going to be a hit in Europe next season.
- The hardware chains make a very bold statement here. The Versace girls are here to rock the house.
-

Cons:
- If  Donatella could use the denim material to make some evening gowns, I think that would be amazing. Haute couture perhaps?

Eye Candies:
- Blue laser cut floral gown
- Denim pieces
- The platform sandals
- White denim bondage dress

  1. You can't change Versace. It must remain trashy (with luxury, of course).
