After The Little Black Jacket project, Carine Roitfeld and Karl Lagerfeld have joined forces once again to create another stunning editorial for the September issues of Harper's Bazaar Australia.
This editorial is the third portfolio of Carine as the Harper's Bazaar's Global Fashion Director and it is all about the celebration of diversity of women. Some of the faces you will recognize instantly are Scarlett Johansson, Dakota Fanning, Lily Collins, Karen Elson, Lily Donaldson, and Liberty Ross. They are all dressed in the latest F/W 2013 iconic pieces and each outfit really shows the personality of each woman. Personally, my favourite photo of this editorial is Dakota Fanning in Louis Vuitton (the expression is perfect).

Fashion[Knowledge]: The Little Black Jacket: Chanel's Classic Revisited
Back in April, I wrote an entry about The Little Black Jacket project by Chanel and now these images are all published in a book.
If you have not heard of this project, this is about the celebration of Chanel's iconic little black jacket. All the photos are shot by Karl Lagerfeld and styled by Carine Roitfeld. Some of the celebrities in this book include Claudia Schiffer, Uma Thurman, Kanye West, Tilda Swinton, Baptiste Giabiconi, Yoko Ono and Sarah Jessica Parker. You can now purchase this book online at Indigo. I think this will be a perfect gift to someone who likes fashion, especially if he or she is a Chanel fan.

Ray of Inspirology: Chanel Pre Fall 2012 Promotion Campaign
Even though summer has just started, in the fashion world, however, we are already talking about pre fall campaign...
Well Chanel is always one of the first brands to present the new campaign and this time around, Daria Strokous has become the face of this collection. As usual, the images are shot by Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld is the stylist for the campaign. I like the black and white effect on the photos and of course, there is a strong Indian flavour which I am sure now you all should know the inspiration of this collection.

Ray of Inspirology: The Little Black Jacket by Chanel
One piece of clothing. One photographer. One incredible stylist. Numerous beautiful people.
Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld have recently teamed up to create a fascinating photo shoot based on the iconic Chanel little black jacket. They have invited people from all walks life to wear this iconic piece and the black and white images are simply amazing. People you can identify right the way include Sarah Jessica Parker, Riccardo Tisci, Anna Wintour, Kristen Dunst, Tilda Swinton and Lily Allen. I am amazed that everyone is giving a different vibe when wearing the same piece of clothing. If you want to see more of this shoot, please click here (I recommend it, I have spent a lot of time on this site)

Ray of Inspirology: The Client
Ever since Carine Roitfeld left French Vogue, she has been working on different editorials or showing up on magazine covers. In the latest issue of W Magzine, she was being the subject of fashion photographer Paolo Roversi.
Carine was dressed in the F/W Haute Couture collection and without a doubt, she looked amazing in them (click here to see the rest of the set). The best part of this editorial was actually the behind the scene video which Carine went to see all the Haute Couture shows and showed up at the showrooms as a client. Seriously, if you are not a billionaire, you may not have a chance to see how clients choose the Couture pieces.
One day, I would love to go into these showrooms and look at the pieces up close.

Karl used a very interesting term to describe how the Chanel show would be if it were under daylight - GPS. (source: wmagazinedotcom@youtube)
