Ray of Inspirology: Organic Neo-Tech

I might be late on this, but it's better than never.

Sølve Sundsbø has shot an incredible editorial for the October issue of Vogue Japan and it features Kati Nescher. George Cortina turns Nescher into a futuristic, yet classy warrior with iconic pieces like Alexander McQueen and Fendi. I really like the cut and paste style of this shoot as this style brings depth to the images. The Alexander McQueen image above is definitely my favourite of this set. What do you think?

Funkology: Fashion Designer Stamps by Royal Mail

Neat idea.

In order to celebrate 60 years of British fashion, Royal Mail has decided to release a set of amazing fashion stamps featuring pieces from British designers Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood, Paul Smith, Hardy Amies, Norman Hartnell, Granny Takes a Trip, Ossie Clark, Tommy Nutter, Jean Muir and Zandra Rhodes. The images are shot by Sølve Sundsbø and I really like the cut out effect as this makes the series very neat and unique.

Will you be planning to purchase this set?

Ray of Inspirology: Strange Love Part 1

In the next 2 days, I am going to show you this amazing editorial shot by Solve Sundsbo for the latest issue of LOVE Magazine.

The cast for this editorial is huge and they are Charlotte Free, Pixie Geldof, Jessica Hart, Sui He, Anais Mali, Nyasha Matonhodze, Hannah Noble, Jessica Stam, Dempsey Stewart, Lindsey Wixson and Danielle Zinaich. I find the images to be very bold and edgy because of 2 things: the dark tone and the high pass/plastic-ish treatment. These images are more than just photos, they are truly some artistic pieces. Here are some of the images from this editorial and come back tomorrow to see the rest.

Props to Katie Grand and Victoria Young for the amazing styling in this series!

Ray of Inspirology: Beauty Of Extreme

By now, you should know this season's fashion trend is all about stripes and in this editorial, the model has demonstrated how to mix and match with your striped pieces in your wardrobe (props to Katie Grand for picking the amazing pieces). This set is shot by Solve Sundsbo and it is featured in the latest issue of Vogue Nippon. I really like how simple the editorial is and the white background has helped the colorful pieces to stand out. What do you think?

Ray of Inspirology: Opium Flirt

This editorial is simply beyond amazing!

In the latest issue of Muse, Anja Rubik is photographed by Solve Sundsbo and the spread is called Opium Flirt. Anja really delivers in this shoot and the lighting is amazing. I truly can't find to describe this amazing shoot so I will leave you with the images and let me know what you think!

BRAVO!

Ray of Inspirology: Micro Wave

I love the look of Tao Okamoto so when this editorial from Vogue China September issue shows up online, I can't help but fall in love with it.

This editorial is shot by Solve Sundsbo with styling by Marie Chaix. I am very impressed with the choice of the clothing and the high contrast photos give a strong modern and edgy vibe. Tao is doing her job very well here and out of all the photos, I like her in Alexander McQueen the most. That picture is a flawless shot!

What do you think? Do you like it?

Ray of Inspirology: Dree Hemingway by Sølve Sundsbø for Numero #113

The May issue of Numero is featuring this smoking set, titled Sang d'Encre (Blood Ink), taken by Sølve Sundsbø and starring Dree Hemingway.  The set is given this poetic name as the ink is spreading around Dree like blood, creating a dark but dreamy mood.  With various colours of ink, it created more than one emotion for the set.

Ray of Inspirology: Beauty

I highly recommend you to buy this issue of Vogue Italia because this issue has so much resource for photographers, makeup artists and stylists. Here is an editorial shoot done by Solve Sundsbo and the makeup on the model has totally captured all my attention. I love this kind of colorful makeup and it blends so well with the S/S collection! If anyone knows who this model is, please let me know.

Ray of Inspiration: Lily Cole by Solve Sundsbo

Lily Cole has always been known as the doll face super model, with Solve Sundsbo's creativity, this set is simply beautiful.  There more I look at it, the more feeling that I got from this set. It's dreamy, it's cold, it's sad, it's seductive, it's everything that I can think of. It's simply stunning, especially the contrast of the red hair and the white.  Check this out, surely you don't want to miss this.
