I swear, Abbey Lee can pretty much just wear a piece of ugly cloth and she will still look pretty in the images. Of course, the clothes in this editorial beautiful or else it will not even be featured in the latest issue of Vogue China.
The spread is shot by Lachlan Bailey and Abbey Lee is styled by Clare Richardson. As many of you know, one of the big trends in this season is the floral prints and Richardson has managed to pull some amazing pieces from brands such as Rodarte and Dolce & Gabbana. I love the mix natural light and strobes in this spread and once again, I have to say Abbey Lee is looking so pretty here.

Ray of Inspirology: Creative Sky
Time to look at these new talents!
The editorial is shot by Trunk Xu and it features the clothing pieces from the 5 finalists of the show Creative Sky in China. Du Juan looks very nice wearing the 5 pieces (each piece is inspired by a movie) and I must say, each designer has a very distinct style that I like a lot. While I do not know who is the winner of this competition, I have to say, these designers are very talented. What do you think?

Ray of Inspirology: Full Metal Glamour
It's been a long time since I talked about Josh Olin's editorials and finally he has produced this shinny series for Vogue China!
At this moment, I still cannot believe metallic color is one of the major trends in this S/S season (I thought it would be the main trend for F/W season) and in this series Guinevere van Seenus has worn some of the best metallic pieces from different designer houses. Josh always shoot some crisp and clean images and this editorial is no exception. The lighting and composition are great here.
On a side note, the more I look at the Miu Miu piece, the more I start to fall in love with it, that's the magic of Miuccia Prada.

Ray of Inspirology: Rebel Waltz
When Hedi Slimane and Agyness Deyn team up together, a great editorial is born.
In the latest issue of Vogue China, Agyness Deyn is posed in front of Hedi Slimane's camera. Here, Hedi's style seems to be a little bit different as the contrast is higher than his previous works. As usual, Agyness looks absolutely flawless and edgy in these images and I really hope she will be doing more shoots in the future. Last but not least, I need to give props to Melanie Ward for picking so amazing clothes for this shoot! Bravo!

Ray of Inspirology: Winter Wonderland
Another great editorial from Vogue China and this reminds me winter is already here.
Shot by Richard Ramos and featuring Du Juan, this spread is all about how you should wear to keep yourself warm out in the snow. The photo set is stunning because Richard makes good use of the depth of field as you can see some "snow pieces" are blurry to create the magical feeling. The light set up is great and it does remind me of the beautiful side of winter.

Graphicology: Bewitching Belle
This is technically an editorial in the latest issue of Vogue China and this is something I have always asked my illustrators to do.
If you are a fan of Disney animations, you will be familiar with Maleficent from the Sleeping Beauty. Here, illustrator Michael Roberts has given this super villain a modern twist by dressing her up with some of the F/W collection fashion pieces. I truly believe this is a brilliant idea as I always say: Arts and fashion do come hand in hand. This is a fine example of what I have in mind and I can't wait to see more editorials like this in the future.
Illustrators, is time for you to create something like this and be featured in these high end fashion magazines!

Ray of Inspirology: Asian Designers in Vogue China September Issue
This is an editorial that makes my eyes sparkle.
It's great to see Vogue China is doing an editorial entirely on the group of Asian designers! Some of the designers include Vera Wang, Vivienne Tam, Philip Lim and Jason Wu. I really like how each photo is reflecting the style of the designer and the pieces the models wear are absolutely beautiful. My favorite photo will be the Jason Wu one because the mood, the color and the model combination is flawless here.
What about you? Which one is your favorite photo from this set?

Ray of Inspirology: Micro Wave
I love the look of Tao Okamoto so when this editorial from Vogue China September issue shows up online, I can't help but fall in love with it.
This editorial is shot by Solve Sundsbo with styling by Marie Chaix. I am very impressed with the choice of the clothing and the high contrast photos give a strong modern and edgy vibe. Tao is doing her job very well here and out of all the photos, I like her in Alexander McQueen the most. That picture is a flawless shot!

Ray of Inspirology: Skin Deep
Hedi Slimane and Abbey Lee Kershaw, this combination works for me!
In the latest issue of Vogue China, Hedi has done an amazing black and white spread featuring super model Abbey Lee Kershaw. I am loving the high contrast in these photos and especially the black on black effect. Abbey Lee does look very fierce and edgy as usual and the chemistry between the photographer and the model is well reflected in the photos!
