Aside from the Valentino Camouflage tote, I think this one is probably my other favourite tote this season!
This tote is from Neil Barrett S/S 2013 collection and I really like the crumbled suede texture. The blue stripe adds a sporty touch to the design as well. This bag is now available at Ssense.

Trendology: Alexander McQueen Black and Tortoiseshell Honeycomb Scarf
Tortoiseshell and honeycomb are the elements for this Alexander McQueen S/S 2013 collection and out of all the products I have seen so far, I think this is the most affordable one for anyone who wants to own a seasonal piece.
The print of this scarf is beautiful as it consists of both the honeycomb pattern and the tortoiseshell image. When it is wrapped around the neck, the tortoiseshell part really stands out, which adds a cool vibe to your outfit.
It is now available at Ssense so get one before it is completely sold out!

Wave of Inspirology: Chloé comme Parris SS 2013 by Molly Willows
Fashion week is only a few days away and as all the designers are ready for the the shows, today I just want to show you this amazing fashion video on one of the S/S 2013 collections.
Chloé comme Parris is always one of my favourite brands in the Toronto fashion industry and the S/S 2013 collection is very strong and beautiful. This video by Molly WIllows captured some behind the scenes of the NYC and Toronto shows. I like the shooting style and special effects in this video because it adds a dreamy vibe to the collection.
Now I am more looking forward to see the new collection next Monday!

Wish[Granted]: Swarovski Translucent Pendant Giveaway
As you know, I am a fan of Swarovski so I am very excited to let you know this blog is giving away one of the necklaces from the Tropical Paradise 2013 collection!
I still remember when I was at the preview last year, this particular Translucent Pendant caught my eyes. The 3D beetle shape is cute and the colour combination can work very well with many pieces in your wardrobe. Of course, this particular piece is also one of the highlights in this collection.
At this moment, this site is going to give out this Translucent Pendant to one of you! All you have to do is to fill in the form below and leave a comment on how you will style this necklace. The deadline will be March 18th, 2013 and Swarovski will contact you on the week of 25th. Good luck!
P.S This contest only opens to Canadian residents.

Walk the Walk: Iris van Herpen S/S 2013 Haute Couture Collection
I have been a fan of Iris van Herpen for quite a long time now but the last 2 Haute Couture collections just didn't fit my taste. However, she has regained my faith for this brand after this wonderful, electric S/S 2013 Haute Couture collection.
This collection is called Voltage and it is inspired by lightning and electricity. Even though the first few pieces remind me of her "Synesthesia" collection, I really like the new silhouette and also how they become more wearable than before (still, I think no one will wear these pieces to a formal events). The pieces that have really amazed me are the "sea urchin", or the "electric ball" gowns. I feel like the "sea urchins" have their own lives and move naturally when the model is walking on the runway. This is a new kind of couture wear and I find it very interesting and cool. The final metallic piece is something I can see Lady Gaga wearing at her concert in the near future.
Without a doubt, this is a wonderful collection and I am curious if this is the sneak peek of her ready to wear collection that will be shown in Paris Fashion Week. If that's the case, then I have a good feeling it will be amazing!
Since this is a very artistic collection, I don't find there is a point to review the collection like the other brands. If you want to view the entire collection, please visit Vogue Italia.

Walk the Walk: Christian Dior S/S 2013 Haute Couture
It's the second season for Raf Simons to design the Dior S/S 2013 Haute Couture collection and the message is simple: Raf's Dior era is all about flowers.
Flowers continue to rule the collection as you can see floral embellishments and embroideries on many of the pieces. The silhouette is not very dramatic but Raf makes Dior ladies to look elegant and classy with his minimalist approach. One thing that is worth to mention is the collection is somewhat connected to the RTW collection (from fabrics to the theme). This is actually a nice move as this links everything in the S/S 2013 together to create a solid and strong new Dior image.
Overall, if you are looking for a collection that is full of dramatic elements, this may not be your cup of tea. However, if you are a fan of minimalist and love the new direction of Dior, then you definitely will like many of the pieces here.
Pros:
- I like the fact that this collection is connected to the Christian Dior S/S 2013 RTW collection. I just feel like the entire S/S 2013 season for Dior is very cohesive and solid.
- The floral embroideries/ embellishments spice up a lot of pieces in this collection.
- I like how Raf stays true to the simple, minimalist approach. The silhouette is not too dramatic here, but it makes the Dior lady elegant and classy.
- The metallic heels are still amazing here.
Cons:
- I am not entirely sure if there is a need to show the black suits here again.
Eye Candies:
- The ivory/black tube gown
- Black tube gown with the "S-curve" floral embellisments
- The floral gown (Exit #45)

Art[s]ense: Dolce & Gabbana S/S 2013 Illustration Project Part 1
Since September 2012, I have been working on this illustration project for Swide on the Dolce & Gabbana S/S 2013 collection. This season, I have invited 9 illustrators to work on this project and today, I can reveal 2 of them.
In this article, JSK and Simona Murialdo use their illustration skills to show the whimsical side of the collection. I really enjoy these two illustrations but at the same time, I can't wait to show you the rest of the images from this project!
