Dots[Connection]: Stylish Ladies

I am always excited to see how illustrator evolves and this Christopher Kane S/S 2016 illustration by Mei Yong has really blown me away. I love the composition a lot and the modern vibe suits the collection perfectly.[Read Here]

One of the most talked-about topics in the industry this week is Maria Grazia Chiuri maybe going to Dior to be the newest creative director. While we do not have an answer until later in July, I cannot ignore the fact the brand did create an interesting collection for the Cruise 2017 season. This piece by Alexandre Desmidt is very cool and interesting. I wonder if she is an angel or demon. [Read Here]

Object of Desire: Christopher Kane Fringed Crochet-Paneled Leather Shoulder Bag

Every girl needs a nice shoulder bag and there are quite a few outstanding ones this season. Here is one of them.

This one is from the Christopher Kane's S/S 2016 collection. What I like the most is the suede fringe design because it will swish as you move. Also, the colour combination of this bag goes well with a lot of different outfits in one's wardrobe.

Whether you are on a casual outing or a formal event (you can detach the shoulder strap), this bag will definitely be an eye catcher. You can now purchase it on Net-A-Porter.

Trendology: Christopher Kane F/W 2014 Menswear Collection

Ever since Christopher Kane launched his menswear collection few years ago, his collections have never disappointed me. In this F/W 2014 season, the designer is brining us to explore the molecules.

As you know, Kane is famous for his digital prints (I still miss his galaxy prints a lot) so he has created the funky molecules print for this collection. Aside from that, I am also in love with the molecules sweater and the giant zipper hoodie.

I always think Kane's collection is very urban and cool, and based on the pieces in this collection, I believe this vibe is not going to go away anytime soon.

Trendology: Christopher Kane F/W 2013 Menswear Collection

A lot of people might be sad to know Christopher Kane is no longer designing Verus, but to me, this is good news. At least now he will have all the time to focus on both the men's and women's collection of his own brand.

If you a fan of Kane, you should know he is famous for his prints and this time, it's all about monsters and leopard prints. Dark blue, black, white and a hint of red are the main colours of this "creepy" collection and I assume the red can be translated as blood. The Dracula, Frankenstein and Mummy prints tees are fun to wear and my favourites are the leopard print scarf and gloves. If you are looking for a nice black quilted jacket, I am so glad that Kane has one to offer as well.

Overall, Christopher Kane has a very strong menswear collection this coming season and I just cannot wait for his womenswear runway show in February.

Trendology: Christopher Kane S/S 2013 Ingredients Cotton Scarf

Christopher Kane always surprises me with his print and for this season, it is all about abstract paint. While many pieces might be a little hard to wear to carry the "Kane's vibe) (you might end up look like a dirty painter if you don't match with the right kind of clothing), I do find this scarf to be pretty versatile.

I personally really like the paint strokes print because it has an organic vibe. If you put on a simple outfit and put this scarf on, you should look pretty sleek and modern. Moreover, it may let people think you are very artistic as well. Overall, I think this is a very cool abstract print scarf and you can now purchase it at Oki-ni.

Trendology: Christopher Kane S/S 2013 Menswear Collection

Sometimes, I do wonder if Christopher Kane is an artist or a fashion designer, or both.

In the latest S/S 2013 collection, prints continue to be Kane's major weapon and this time, it is all about paint and brush strokes. I really like the colour prints on the pieces, which really give off a summer vibe and the addition of roses print has given a slightly feminine touch to the collection. I don't see any suits here yet and I am wondering if Kane will start to produce some sartorial style clothing in the near future.

Trendology: Christopher Kane All Over Floral Scarf

When it comes to menswear, Christopher Kane is always about print and for this season, it is all about florals. I find this scarf to be quite nice. It is not as feminine as you thought and the baby blue is giving a nice touch to the scarf. The price point is a little bit up there but if you are interested in this product, you can click here for more detail.

Trendology: Christopher Kane Oki-ni Exclusive "Lava" T-Shirt

Last season, we are all crazy over Christopher Kane's galaxy print shirts and this season, it is all about liquid.

While the womenswear has the real liquid flowing around some of the pieces, men will only get liquid print but I still find these pieces are pretty attractive to look at. Here is a shirt that is exclusively produced for Oki-ni and I love this lava print a lot! If you want to purchase this tee or other liquid prints, please click here.

Trendology: Christopher Kane 2011 S/S Menswear

Christopher Kane has finally debuted his menswear line and I am very excited after seeing some of the look book photos!

Kane continue to use the space prints from the womenswear and I am loving the explosion and landscape prints on the tee shirts and knitwear. The collection is very colorful and even though it may not be my style, I would definitely love to try on some of the pieces to satisfy my Christopher Kane experience.
