Object of Desire: Fendi Black Monster Eyes Tie

It looks like there will be a few ties I want to get this S/S 2016 season. Here is another one of them!

This tie is produced by Fendi and it has the signature monster eyes print on it. This pair of monster eyes design adds a playful attitude to the product and I can totally see someone pairs this accessory with a white dress shirt and a pair of dark blue ripped denim.

As a person who always wants to own a Monster Eyes piece from Fendi, I think this will be the most affordable piece from the collection! You can now purchase it at Ssense.

This pair sneakers has the monster eyes on the outer panels and I love the stud design at the back Wearing this pair of bad boys is like you are in control of the Fendi Monster. Overall, this is a fun fashion item for your wardrobe.

Object of Desire: Fendi Brown & Red Monster Bifold Wallet

Recently, I am addicted to the Fendi Monster accessories. This is one of them.

The outer shell of the wallet is made of brown grained leather and the lining is in navy blue. The pair of red monster eyes (in grained leather as well) adds a playful vibe to an ordinary wallet and it reminds me of the villains in Japanese anime.

You can now purchase this wallet at Ssense.

Walk the Walk: Fendi S/S 2015 Collection

Fendi has been on fire lately, and for the coming S/S 2015 season, Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Venturini Fendi once again proved the fashion house will continue to be every editor's favourite by presenting yet another flawless runway show. And the most importantly, the line is getting younger!

Fendi S/S 2015 contained everything needed to be in an excellent collection: wearables, non wearables, artistic prints, fun accessories and great footwear. The prints were lovely and reminded people of tropical places like Hawaii. Cutout and shredded designs were not new to the fashion industry, but thee 2 elements added a nice futuristic touch to many of the garments. The 4 dresses in the final were definitely editorial materials - they were pretty and edgy.

Karl and Silvia once again worked their magic to create a stunning collection, and it is a guarantee that we will be seeing a lot of garments on editorials in the new season.

Pros:
- Great to see how the designers use one single floral print (orchid) to create so many outfits for this collection. It's a memorable move.
- The shredded idea is refreshing, so is the ombre effect.
- Love the cutout idea, this gives a futuristic vibe to the collection.
- The accessories are amazing! Love the fur keychain/ornament!
- How can they insert those stripes of fabrics without any stitching? Breathtaking.

Eye Candies:
- Cut out organdy dress
- The fur figure keychain/ornament
- Grey leather jacket with 3D embossed orchid
- White and black ombre shredded skirt suit

Ray of Inspirology: Fendi F/W 2013 Campaign

I am happy to see two of my favourite models in the new Fendi F/W 2013 campaign!

These campaign images are once again shot by Karl Lagerfeld and they feature Cara Delevingne and Saskia de Brauw. Both models look very refreshing here and I especially love the portrait shot of Saskia.

After looking at these images, I just want to visit Rome and visit the city again.

P.S Fur glasses are going to be the IT item of this sesaon!

Walk the Walk: Fendi F/W 2013 Collection

Fur. A lot of fur.

Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Venturini Fendi represented yet another amazing Fendi collection today in Milan. If you have been following this brand, you should remember the yellow fur coat from F/W 2012 collection. This time, the designers have raised the bar of the fur game and created more amazing colourful pieces. There are fur stripes, fur fringes, fur panels and fur accessories. Even though a lot of colours are involved in this collection, in general, it is very cohesive and it's because of the fur element again. If you are not a fan of fur, there are still some nice leather pieces, such as the biker jacket, for you to choose form this collection. Even though the silhouettes are leaning towards relaxing fits, I do find these pieces to be very modern because of the innovative designs and cuttings (like the oval shape cut at the bottom of the biker jacket).

After seeing this collection, I wonder what the designers will do to raise the bar of the fur game again in the future.

Pros:
- There are so many innovative ways to use fur in this collection.
- I love how the designers apply different colours on the fur and make these pieces to look young and modern.
- The accessories are going to be the IT items next season
- I am in love with those leather pieces, especially the biker jacket.

Cons:
- None

Eye Candies:
- Fur shoes
- Fur sunglasses
- Blue leather biker jacket
- Colour fur stripes sweater
- Black one piece dress with blue fur panels
- Fur fringe skirt

Graphic[Mashup]: Round 5

This week, I found 3 awesome fashion illustrations and I just want to share them with you.

Flavio Melchiorre

This image is featured in the Commons&Sense n°43 and it is all about the Fendi F/W 2012 collection. I really like the composition of it and if you look closely, you can see a lot of iconic items from this sesaon in this particular illustration. Bravo work Flavio!

Liselotte Watkins

This image is also from the latest issue of Commons&Sense and Liselotte has created 2 illustrations based on the Louis Vuitton F/W 2012 collection. Once again, I am in love with this collection so putting it into illustration simply suits my taste.

J. Larkowsky

I actually didn't see a lot of Givenchy F/W 2012 illustrations this season so I am so glad Joseph has decided to do it. I really like these 3 dresses so seeing them in illustration is definitely a treat! Nicely done!

If you want me to feature some of your latest fashion illustrations here, you can send an email to me at info@fusionofeffects.com.

Ray of Inspirology: Statement Scents

If you are still not awake by now, maybe this editorial will help you. It's time to play the "where's my fragrance" game!

In the latest issue of Book For Men by SHARP, Rick Genest (Zombie boy) is shot by Matt Barnes in this black and white editorial. It is interesting to see how the fragrance bottles are acting like tattoos and are embedded on Rick's body. If you are familiar with fragrances, you should be able to spot the Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb, Diesel Only the Brave, Fan di Fendi, and Blue de Chanel bottles.

Now are you awake yet?

Ray of Inspirology: Gangs of New York

As many of you may know, I am a huge fan of fashion photographer Simon Procter. Today, it's my pleasure to share this latest editorial shot by him for Stiletto Magazine. The brands I can spot in this series include Fendi, Prada, Chanel, and Mary Katranzou. Procter continues to produce some very surreal images and the composition of each image is very interesting. This series is going to give some good inspirations for emerging photographers.

Ray of Inspirology: Fendi F/W 2012 Promotion Campaign

Oh Joan Smalls, you can never disappoint me!

Here are some of the images of Fendi's new campaign featuring supermodel Joan Smalls. The images are shot by Karl Lagerfeld and I really really like the outdoor location of the shoot. Of course, Smalls looks flawless here and until this day, I still find that yellow fur coat to be mesmerizing!

Walk the Walk: Fendi F/W 2012 Collection

Perfection!

In my memory, I have never highly praised Fendi until now. This collection is simply beautiful. Even though the colour palette is very safe here (expect the last few pieces), the silhouette and the use of materials are what caught my attention the most. When I look at the collection, I feel like there is a hint of Native America flare when I look at some of the pieces. Also, I am certain that Stingray has to be involved in the mood board, or else how can you see those cool leggings and structured pieces around the should area? Lat but not least, those accessories and boots are something ladies will die for next season!

Pros:
- For some reasons, I feel like there is a hint of Native American flare and truthfully, I think it creates magic in this collection. Also, I believe Stingray is definitely one of the inspirations.
- A very safe colour palette choice, except for the last 4 fur coats, these 4 are the items of the season.
- It's interesting to see the moth/butterfly print on the fur coat.
- The boots are amazing! I love the colour combination and the height is perfect.
- I just cannot get enough of the bags, they are so pretty.
- Love the shoulder structure on some of the pieces, it makes the girls look like warriors.

Cons:
- None, I can't think of anything that I don't like. (Leave a comment and tell me if you have anything you do not like)

Eye Candies:
- Yellow fur coat
- Moth/butterfly print fur coat
- Boots and bags
- Corset belts
- Grey Stingray inspired ruffle blouse
- Stingray skin texture print leggings

Ray of Inspirology: Fendi Eyewear Campaign

My eyes are glued to campaigns and editorials that have Arizona Muse in them and today, it's the Fendi eyewear campaign.

This series is shot by Karl Lagerfeld and he is back to the Black and White roots. I find this campaign to be timeless and as I said before, I just love Arizona Muse here. She can basically do no wrong. What do you think?

Walk the Walk: Fendi S/S 2012 Collection

Somehow, Fendi has successfully captured my heart in this S/S 2012 runway show (Uncle Karl, you have won my heart this round!)

This is a very solid and refreshing collection. The main element is the stripes as you can see it appear throughout the runway show. I am also in love with the cut out shoulders design to make a normal piece of clothing looks cool and chic. Of course, the last few pieces of the black dresses have successfully melted my heart with the great details and cutting. Overall, I am very surprised to see the clothes from this brand can be so young and playful! Bravo Uncle Karl!

Pros:
- I love the stripes in this collection. Because of the colours, Karl makes this element fresh and chic.
- The cut out shoulders design makes the pieces look young and refreshing.
- The details on the evening dresses are pretty amazing and make the LBD looks unique.
- The makeup in the show is flawless and I have a feeling it will be the trend for next season.

Cons:
- Not a huge fan of the shoes.

Eye Candies:
- White cut out shoulders blouse
- Black cut out shoulders one piece dress
- Orange leather jacket
- Black one piece dress

Walk the Walk: Fendi Fall RTW 2011 Collection

Karl is so good in dealing with fur as we all know from his Chanel collections.  He is using this spectacular skill here in the House of Fendi.  The mink, the vest and the coat are sometimes made with combined types of fur, or standing solo.  He even threw in a male model wearing the mink to add a twist to the style.  Besides the fur, Karl also played with the difference of proportioning and contrast of silhouettes in the same collection.

Pros:
- the fur
- the colour palette
- ruffles added a touch of feminine to this menswear-inspired collection

Cons:
- the loose fits aren't favouring as the slim cut are leading the set
- the evening sets looked effortless compare to the rest, especially the fur

Eye Candies:
- the combination of different types of furs in 1 coat
- plaid see-through shirt
