Picture Perfect: Prabal Gurung F/W 2014 Campaign

Prabal Gurung has finally released the latest campaign images and they are absolutely stunning!

For this season, the designer has chosen Rosie Huntington-Whiteley to be the spokesperson of the brand. These shots are done by Daniel Jackson and they look regal, with a dark vibe. Rosie looks like a warrior here, and somehow, I keep associating these images with her upcoming movie Mad Max (release in 2015).

What will also amaze you is that the background you see in each image is actually not photoshopped, it is a physical backdrop created specifically for this campaign. Now my mind is totally blown away!

[On]Air: Burberry Body Celebration in Beverly Hills

Yeah, I am a bit jealous here but I will still hope Mr. Bailey will come to Toronto to host an event at the flagship store.

On Wednesday, Burberry Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey and British actress/model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley hosted a cocktail party to celebrate the release of Burberry Body in LA. There were over 400 guests attended the event and Kate Bosworth, Sir Patrick Stewart, Serena Williams, Luke Evans, and Cat Deeley were some of the celebrities whom were there that night. Judging from the photos, the event was very successful and the guests were having so much fun in the store (and I am sure Solange Knowles did an amazing job as a DJ).

Now, I am hoping I will get a chance to meet Mr. Bailey one day...

Trendology: Burberry Body

The wait is over and Burberry Body has finally launched on September 1st!

“Burberry Body is the next chapter in our history, and a launch we are all so excited about. It’s the Burberry world translated into a scent, embodying every facet of the brand including our music, collections, scent, platforms and communities. We wanted to create something very British, feminine, timeless, distinctive and effortlessly sensual, with the attitude and energy of our iconic trench coat at the heart of it.” - Christopher Bailey, Burberry Chief Creative Officer

This Burberry Body fragrance is contained in a "jewel-like multi-faceted glass bottle with rose gold engraved check" and it comes in Eau de Parfum, Eau de Parfum Intense, Body Milk and Body Oil. From the description, it should smell very nice as the top note are freesia, green absinthe and peach and the heart notes are rose, iris and sandalwood. Vanilla, musk, cashmeran and amber round off the bottom notes.

Trendology: Burberry Body Preview

As a fan of the Burberry fragrance collection, I am excited to know the fashion house is adding another member to the line up. Now, we have a sneak peak of what we will be seeing for this campaign...

Burberry is going to release a new fragrance for women called the Burberry Body on September 1 and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (who stars in Transformers 3) is chosen to be the cover girl for this multimedia campaign. The campaign is directed by Christopher Bailey and it is shot by Mario Testino. As we can see the preview image here, Rosie is only wearing a rose gold satin trench coat and I can assume this is going to be a very sexy and tasteful campaign. It's very fresh and classy!

This is what Christopher Bailey and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley have to say about this fragrance and campaign:
"Burberry Body is the most exciting launch that we have ever created and captures the iconic spirit of the brand today in a striking and sensual way.
Rosie's effortless style and her staggering beauty made her the natural choice as the first Burberry Body.
Christopher Bailey, Chief Creative Officer - Burberry
''It’s a huge honour to be working with Burberry again, a brand that put my career on the map and helped launch me. To be asked to be the first 'Burberry Body' is an amazing compliment.''
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley
While I do not know the smell of this fragrance yet, I have a good feeling this will be another best seller for the brand and I cannot wait to share more information about this campaign with you in the near future. Are you excited about it?

Here is a teaser...

Ray of Inspirology: Ten Times Rosie

If you have Rankin as the photographer, you just can't go wrong at all! This photo book shall prove my point.

In order to celebrate the 10th season, fashion brand Thomas Wylde has teamed up with Rankin to create a photo book and Rosie Huntington-Whitley is the model for this project. In this book, Rosie is transformed into 10 different looks to represent the 10 seasons of this brand. The images are powerful and each photo is like a master piece to me. I would love to blow up some of the photos and hang them on my wall. This series is refreshing!

Here are some of my favorites and for more information, please visit here.

Ray of Inspirology: Burberry Prorsum F/W 2010 Promotion Campaign

Burberry Prorsum has finally released the photos for the promotion campaign and I like them a lot.

This campaign is shot by Mario Testino featuring models Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Nina Porter, Sam Rollinson, Charlotte Wiggins, Caspar Smyth, Douglas Booth, Gwilym Gold, Rory Cottam, Samuel Fry, Seb Brice and Thomas Penfound. I really like the bricks that serve as the background because the texture makes the clothes and the models stand out. The 4 color tones are something I would never expect to see in Burberry Prorsum ads and they make the models in the photos stand out more. For some unknown reasons, the models look very mysterious here and that maybe one of the reason why I can stare at the photos for a while because I want to figure out what kind of emotions they are trying to express through the ads.
