Trendology: Neil Barrett Dark Olive Green Shopper Tote

Aside from the Valentino Camouflage tote, I think this one is probably my other favourite tote this season!

This tote is from Neil Barrett S/S 2013 collection and I really like the crumbled suede texture. The blue stripe adds a sporty touch to the design as well. This bag is now available at Ssense.

Dots[Connection]: Pop Art

The topic of this week's Dots[Connection] is Pop Art!

Cristiana De Zanche and Pietro Gaudenzi have created a very interesting illustration editorial for Vogue Japan last year and it is all about the twisted version of Alice in Wonderland. I personally am in love with the illustration style and these images definitely remind me of pop art. [Read Here]

BENDA's latest illustration series is now featured on L’Officiel Hommes China. He has dressed up 7 icons in the S/S 2013 menswear collections. Each art work represents a particular era of the art history. Definitely one of my favourite editorials this week! [Read Here]

Trendology: Moncler x White Mountaineering "Moncler W" F/W 2013 Collection

In this coming F/W season, Moncler is going to collaborate with White Mountaineering for a menswear capsule collection under the label Moncler W.

I have always been a fan of White Mountaineering, so knowing this Japanese brand is going to create something special for Moncler makes me very excited. There are some outstanding outerwear pieces in this collection and I personally am in love with the zig-zag quilted pants. Here are some of my favourites and you can visit Highsnobiety to see the complete collection.

Trendology: Romina Quiros x Marni Winter Edition 2013

For this coming season, Marni is going to collaborate with Romina Quiros to create a capsule collection.

For this collaboration, Consuelo Castiglioni has chosen 3 designs from Romina and all of them are figures in a slightly abstract form. The collection consists of t-shirts, bags and iPad cases. My favourite is definitely the iPad case as they add a fun edge to the device.

This collection will be available in Marni stores and marni.com in June. Are you excited?

Ray of Inspirology: YSL Paris je t’aime Campaign

Anja Rubik has become the new face of YSL's Parisienne & Paris je t’aime fragrance and I just cannot get over the Paris je t’aime image. It is shot by Mert & Marcus and Anja is holding a big bottle of fragrance. I think this image is very pretty and it has a very warm and romantic vibe. What do you think?

Trendology: Givenchy Pre Spring 2014 Menswear Collection

Givenchy is the first brand to release the menswear pre-spring collection and I find it to be the continuation of the F/W 2013 womenswear collection.

If you are a fan of the juxtaposed prints in the F/W 2013 womenswear collection, you are going to love the fashion pieces here because Riccardo is bringing this element to the menswear. Camouflage is also one of the major elements here and I quite like the blue/white/black/grey sweater. Overall, I think this is a very typical Givenchy collection and I am looking forward to see what Riccardo has in store to surprise us with the S/S 2014 menswear collection.

Ray of Inspirology: Chanel Pre-Fall 2013 Campaign

The best pre-fall campaign at the moment? It has to be Chanel.

The latest campaign is shot by Karl Lagerfeld and it features style icon Tilda Swinton. From background to clothing, lighting to composition, everything is perfect here and the images really capture the vibe of this collection. I seriously can look at these images all day long.

What do you think?

Ray of Inspirology: Brighter Days

As a fan of Mike Lewis, I am so exciting to show you this new editorial!

This series is featured in Modo Magazine and it is mostly in monotone. As always, I love the compositions of these images and the slightly dark and bold vibe makes the entire series to be more interesting. My favourite image is the portrait shot as the hat casts a very interesting shadow on the model's face.

What do you think?

Trendology: Christian Dior Resort 2014 Collection

Few days ago, Dior showed the Resort 2014 collection in Monte Carlo and it was yet another pleasant surprise.

To me, this was a juxtaposed Resort collection. For the first time in history, Raf actually used lace on many of pieces and blended this element with other fabrics. This element added a feminine vibe to some of the looks and I found that to be very refreshing. To make some of the pieces to look more sporty, zippers were used and the collection instantly became very modern.

Aside from these refreshing elements, Raf also continued to explore the asymmetry cutting and those gowns were absolutely beautiful!

Now I can't wait to see what Raf has in store for us in September! What do you think?

She will be the new face of the F/W 2013 Calvin Klein underwear and this campaign is shot by Mario Sorrenti on location in Vieques, Puerto Rico. Now there is something we are looking forward to see in this coming season. [Read Here]

After so many years, she still looks so beautiful! (source: StyleNotes)

Valentino surprised us this week with the latest accessories campaign. These 2 images are shot by Terry Richardson and you can see his tattooed forearm clearly. From romantic campaign to this kind of simplicity images, I think Valentino is moving to a new direction. [Read Here]

This ad campaign should be able to attract a young crowd. (source: StyleNotes)

Trendology: Kenzo Black Patent Leather Messenger Bag

Kenzo has been on radar recently because of the funky designs. While browsing through Ssense today, I found this cool messenger bag.

This bag is from the S/S 2013 collection and the outer shell is made of patent leather. I quite like the cut out handle design on one side as it adds a cool and practical feature to the bag. If I have $1000 spare change, this might be on my must have list.

You can now purchase this bag at Ssense.

Ray of Inspirology: A Tiger Never Loses Sleep Over the Opinion of Sheep

Even though Stella Tennant is in her 40s, her modelling career is still going so strong. Recently, she has teamed up with Josh Olins to shoot his editorial.

These images are featured in the latest issue of i-D and Stella is the kung fu master here. I like the styling in this editorial as each piece reflects the sporty side of the model. I am also pleasantly surprised by how this pair of Celine sandals works so well with all the outfits!

Trendology: Gareth Pugh Black Suede and Leather Accent Heel Boots

I am always a fan of Gareth Pugh and recently I just came across this pair of awesome heels for the ladies.

This pair of heel boots are from the S/S 2013 collection. The metallic 5" heel is probably the biggest selling point of this product. I also like the leather panel at the vamp as it adds an edge to the design. This product is now available at Ssense so you better get one before it is sold out!

StyleNotes[Cheat Sheet]: Fragrance War

Other than the MET Gala, fragrance news was probably one of the biggest fashion topics this week!

Katy Perry has debuted her 3rd fragrance and it is called Killer Queen. She took over a year to work on this product and the bottle looks very royal. Will this scene be as sweet as her previous one? Let me know when you get a chance to smell it. [Read Here]

I like the bottle and now I want to know how it smells like... (source: StyleNotes)

Amanda Seyfried has been wearing a lot of Givenchy lately to different events so I was not surprised when the brand announced her as the new spokesperson for Very Irrésistible. The commercial has just been released and the actress looks flawless in it. [Read Here]

I enjoyed watching this ad, it was pretty dramatic. (source: StyleNotes)

In case you have not been flooded by the MET Gala red carpet news yet, you can click here to see some of the looks. Madonna definitely took the trophy home foe being the best dressed punk!
