Trendology: Lanvin x Minnie Mouse

Back in December, Barneys New York released the holiday video and we saw Minnie Mouse in Lanvin. Just when I thought that was a one time deal, this morning the fashion house uploaded a new video that got me extremely excited.

Once again, Lanvin teamed up with Disney to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Disneyland Paris. In the video, you can see Minnie Mouse visited the Lanvin headquarters in Paris and Alber Elbaz made a special dress for this iconic character for the special occasion. The dress was very beautiful and it really suited the character's personality.

After seeing this video, I am sure a lot of girls will have the same thought: I wish I were Minnie Mouse.

Wave of Inspirology: Electric Holiday at Barneys New York

I have been hoping this kind of collaboration will happen in real life and it's finally here! After months of promotion, the Barneys New York holiday video is finally unveiled today!

As you may know, this short animation is a collaboration between Disney and Barneys New York. Minnie Mouse is the center of this story line and the story is about Minnie looking at a Lanvin dress and dreams about walking on the runway in Paris. A lot of fashion celebrities such as Anna Dello Russo, Sarah Jessica Parker, Lady Gaga and Bryan Boy make a guest appearance in this animation.

Trendology: The Minnie Mouse Collection

It's always great to see when a cartoon character is reinterpreted by fashion designers and the outcome is usually amazing. So when London fashion designers meet Minnie Mouse, you can expect something artistic and unique.

11 British designers are involved in this Minnie Mouse collection and each item has only 1 piece. The limited collection is for an ebay charity auction and the money will be going to Fashion Arts Foundation. My favourite pieces include the dress by Giles Deacon, the clutch by Lulu Guinness and the mouse ears dress by Richard Nicoll.
