Wave of Inspirology: Givenchy S/S 2013 by Gordon Von Steiner

To celebrate the release of Givenchy S/S 2013 collection, Barneys New York has commissioned Gordon Von Steiner to create a short fashion film and I really like it.

Wave of Inspirology: Electric Holiday at Barneys New York

I have been hoping this kind of collaboration will happen in real life and it's finally here! After months of promotion, the Barneys New York holiday video is finally unveiled today!

As you may know, this short animation is a collaboration between Disney and Barneys New York. Minnie Mouse is the center of this story line and the story is about Minnie looking at a Lanvin dress and dreams about walking on the runway in Paris. A lot of fashion celebrities such as Anna Dello Russo, Sarah Jessica Parker, Lady Gaga and Bryan Boy make a guest appearance in this animation.

If you want to know what is each Disney character wearing in this video, here is the list:

Trendology: Alexander McQueen Flower Tie

Artology: Gaga's Workshop at Barney's New York

Every year, I am all excited to see what Barneys New York will have in store for the holiday display and this year the store has teamed up with Lady Gaga to create the Gaga Workshop. I am sure everyone is familiar with Lady Gaga so you can imagine how crazy the window displays look like this year. Sadly I will not be able to travel down this Christmas but at least I can look at the online store to see the monster inspired products. Below are some photos and the video of the opening night. I must say Lady Gaga is looking so good in Chanel!

Trendology: Porter x Barneys' CO-OP 25th Anniversary Collection

This year is Barneys' 25th anniversary and the company has found some brands for different types of collaborations. I am very surprised when I see Porter is on the list (bravo!) and this capsule collection has 3 of Porter's best sellers: 3-way bag, backpack and a duffle bag.
