Ray of inspirology: Into the Darkness

I was reading the March issue of Interview Magazine few days ago and was stunned by this beautiful editorial by Craig McDean.

This spread stars Sasha Pivovarova and she is styled by Karl Templer. I really like these photos because they are dark, mysterious and glamourous. The above LV image is probably my top favourite in this series.

Ray of Inspirology: Prada Resort 2013 Promotion Campaign

Here comes another brand with its Resort 2013 campaign images.

Prada has just released 2 images for its Resort 2013 collection. Even though I wasn't a big fan of the show back in June, I am very certain that Miuccia has redesigned some of the looks as you can see there are more details on the blouse Sasha Pivovarova is wearing in the images.

These images are shot by Steven Meisel and they give me a very cool and sporty vibe. I hope Miuccia will release the look book photos of this entire collection as well because I believe what you will see in store in December will be different than what you saw back in June.

Ray of Inspirology: Kapow!

This is not a love at first sight editorial but somehow, it starts to grow on me.

This editorial is shot by Mario Sorenti and it stars Sasha Pivovarova & Freja Beha Erichsen. The series is very comical and girls are doing their job very well. What put me on the fence at first was the graffiti background which I thought it was too much for this shoot but somehow, my eyes started to see the beauty of it. Now I think the background actually works very well with the clothes and jewelry. What do you think?

Ray of Inspirology: Giorgio Armani F/W 2011 Promotion Campaign

It seems like the Armani house is on fire for this season with the campaigns!

Here are the photos for the new Giorgio Armani campaign and it stars Sasha Pivovarova. Mert & Marcus has once again produced some very high end edgy photos and I really like the yellow tint effect to give the photos a slightly retro look. What do you think?

It's always refreshing to see Hedi Slimane's works and in the latest issue of Vogue Japan, he has an editorial featuring Sasha Pivovarova. As usual, his black and white photos are very amazing and I also find his color photos are getting edgier than before. What do you think? Are you a fan of Hedi Slimane?

Ray of Inspirology: Thomas Wylde S/S 2011 Promotion Campaign

I have to say, I like this promotion campaign a lot!

This photo series is shot by Greg Kadel featuring Sasha Pivovarova. I am loving where Sasha is positioned in the photo and her expression is flawless. The black enhancement has made the photo to look very gloomy with a glamorous vibe at the same time. I wish I could have this photo in my portfolio...

Ray of Inspirology: Vogue Paris: Sasha Pivovarova

It's hard for me to decide which photo I like the most in this particular series of Sasha since she gives off a different vibe in each photo. Mario must be a big fan of Sasha because both of her black and white and color set are full of attitude and I need to give props to Jane How for making Sasha looks so lovely and edgy.

Ray of Inspirology: Alexnader McQueen S/S 2011 Promotion Campaign

This campaign gives me a mixed emotion and I think the photos have more meaning than just a campaign for this season.

These 2 photos are from Alexander McQueen latest campaign and the campaign features Sasha Pivovarova & Lindsey Wixson. When I look at the series, all I can think of is this: a tribute and rebirth of Alexander McQueen. The tribute part is all about the butterflies and as you can remember this has become one of the signatures for Alexander McQueen. The rebirth part is the flying motion of the butterflies and the dress created by Sarah Burton. To me, my favorite photo will lean towards Sasha's one since she can create the gloomy mood better than Lindsey here.

Ray of Inspirology: Uptown and Down

This is one stunning editorial from the latest issue of V Magazine.

Shot by Mario Testino, this spread features a stunning cast of models and they are Carmen Kass, Sashcha Pivovarova, Freja Beha and Anna Selezneva. The shoot is divided into 2 sets: indoor and outdoor. Personally, I am more attracted to the indoor set more because of the dramatic effect and the models look more classy and glamourous. The outdoor set is fun which it gives a more urban and youthful vibe. For both sets, Sarajane Hoare the stylist has done an amazing job on the weapons of choice (i.e clothes). Now, what is your favorite photo of this set?

Ray of Inspirology: Kenzo F/W 2010 Promotion Campaign

Breath taking campaign!

Mario Sorrenti is once again the photographer for Kenzo's promotion campaign and this time the models are Ben Hill, Lily Donaldson and Sasha Pivovarova. What has caught my eyes the most in this series is the saturation color which it gives a very surreal feeling to me. Also the poses of the models make them look like mannequins to me and I think this scores another point for me liking this ad.

I am looking forward to see this set on magazines soon.

Ray of Inspirology: Longchamp F/W 2010 Promotion Campaign

In the latest Longchamp promotion campaign, Kate Moss is not seen in any of the photos, but instead, Sasha Pivovarova has become the cover girl for the brand. This series is shot by David Sims (seems like Longchamp is looking for a new team for the up coming campaigns) and I love the dreamy effect on the photos. I wonder if there are more photos to come from this set.

Ray of Inspirology: Universal Coverage

It's not even the September issue but Vogue has already featured one of the best editorials for this F/W season already!

This outdoor shoot is done by Mr. Steven Meisel featuring some of the world's top models such as Christina Kruse, Sasha Pivovarova, Caroline Trentini, Daria Strokous and Mirte Maas. Marie-Amelie Sauve, the stylist, has skillfully transformed the girls into different characters in this dreamy spread. I love the color tone, the clothes, the models and the setting and these factors make my eyes happy when I look at the photos.

Time for a fun editorial shoot!

This editorial shoot that is featured in the latest issue of Interview Magazine is done by Craig McDean featuring supermodel Sasha Pivovarova. When I look at the spreads, the first instinct that comes to me is messy. Then when you look again, you just have a new prospective. It is a fresh, and crisp shoot. Out of all the photos, I love the one with the tape on Sasha's eyes.

Ray of Inspirology: Steven Meisel For Vogue January 2010

As you know, I really enjoy seeing many of the photo shoots that are done by Steven Meisel. In the latest issue of Vouge, he teams up with super model Sasha Pivovarova and pairs her up with different musicians and also dresses her up with the latest 2010 S/S collection. I like the energy in this shoot and it just gives me the feeling of the new year has finally arrived!
