Picture Perfect: Marc Jacobs F/W 2015 Campaign

One of my favourite campaigns in the F/W 2015 has to be Marc Jacobs. Why? Because it has everything I like in a successful campaign.

Shot by David Sims, this campaign features a lot of famous celebrities and models such as Winona Ryder, Cher, Sofia Coppola, Willow Smith, Anthony Kiedis, Steve Mackey, Grace Simmons, Molly Bair, Riley Montana, and Varya Shutova. The photos are very polished, the compositions are great and the red background brings out the regal vibe of the collection.

This is definitely my favourite Marc Jacobs campaign to date!

Ray of Inspirology: Alexander McQueen F/W 2013 Campaign

You know you have made it in the model world when more than 3 fashion houses have decided to use you as the face of the latest campaign. This is the story of Edie Campbell.

Edie is shot by David Sims in the latest Alexander McQueen campaign. The images are in black and white, which fit really well with the Victorian inspired collection. What I like the most about this campaign is even though the composition is very simple, Edie's serious expression clearly is capturing the viewer's attention.

Ray of Inspirology: Jil Sander F/W 2013 Campaign

Jil Sander has just released the new campaign images for the F/W 2013 season and it features Edie Campbell for the womenswear.

These black and white photos are shot by David Sims and they look timeless. As you know, Jil Sander is all about minimalism so I think these photos reflect the new collection's (and even the brand) vibe flawlessly. Edie looks stunning here and I wish there could be a short film about this collection with her in it.

Ray of Inspirology: Aves de Paso

If you are familiar with Hermès, you should one of their signature elements is the scarves. In this latest issue of Harper's Bazaar España, David Sims has done a very nice shoot based on this product.

Karlie Kloss is the model of this amazing editorial and she is wrapped by different Hermès scarves. I like the simple background as it helps to make the colourful scarves to stand out. After looking at these images, I feel like I may beed to visit the Hermès store to look at some of the designs up close.

Ray of Inspirology: Alexander McQueen S/S 2013 Campaign

The Alexander McQueen S/S 2013 campaign has finally arrived and I am very impressed!

These campaign images are once again shot by David Sims and feature Raquel Zimmermann as the face of the collection. Raquel looks like an android to me in the images and I really love the bold lighting style. The honey face will probably be stuck in my head for the rest of the season and I have a very good feeling this might be one of the most iconic images in Raquel's portfolio.

Wave of Inspirology: Alexander McQueen F/W 2012 Video Campaign

David Sims is making me very happy today by shooting this Alexander McQueen campaign video!

If you were born in the 80s, you should have experienced the dialup internet era and yes, at that moment, I thought I was already in a futuristic era (really, that was a kid's thought). David Sims and Sarah Burton must have the same thought or else you will not be able to see this campaign video. It features Suvi Koponen and throughout this "pixelated" video, she acts like a ghostly image (when your internet was slow back in the days, this kind of thing happened). I really enjoy this video as it gives me back so many childhood memories. What do you think?

Ray of Inspirology: Alexander McQueen F/W 2012 Promotion Campaign

Simple. Direct. Stunning.

David Sims captures Suvi Koponen in the latest Alexander McQueen campaign and I can't stop loving it. The set designed by Gideon Ponte is very simple, yet futuristic, which fits the collection very well. I really like the  background as it gives off hope and Suvi's poses are flawless here. What more can I say?

Ray of Inspirology: Prada LG Phone 3.0 Promotion Campaign

I have posted one of the photos on facebook sometime ago and everyone was crazy about it!

This is the promotion campaign for the Prada LG Phone 3.0 and it is shot by David Sims. The campaign stars Edward Norton and Daria Werbowy. I like the black and white classic approach as this really reflects the brand's identity. Well, when it comes to favourite, hands down to the Edward solo image even though I am a fan of Daria. What do you think?

Ray of Inspirology: Miu Miu S/S 2012 Promotion Campaign

The star effects is here again. For this season, Mia Wasikowska (best known for her role in Alice in Wonderland) has become the face of the new Miu Miu campaign. It is shot by David Sims and it seems like Miuccia wants a more simple approach this time around. The portrait style really makes the images to look elegant and classy. That yellow backdrop and the clothes create a huge contrast which helps the viewers to focus on the collection. I really like it, do you?

Ray of Inspirology: Alexander McQueen S/S 2012 Promotion Campaigna

The Alexander McQueen campaign is finally here.

This campaign is shot by David Sims featuring Zuzanna Bijoch. The campaign style is very similar to the previous season which is very soft and beautiful. The 3 images look like they are coming from some religious books, especially the full body one. Now I wonder if this campaign style will continue in the next season.

Ray of Inspirology: Prada Men S/S 2012 Promotion Campaign

I was not very convinced by this campaign at first but somehow it starts to grow on me.

This editorial is shot by world renowned photographer David Sims and it features actor Michael Pitt (sorry Tobey Maguire, you are out). This campaign really showcases the 1950s clothing style and there is no dramatic effect in any of the images. It's simple but it totally reflects what this brand is about - classic silhouette with modern twists.

Ray of Inspirology: Alexander McQueen Eyewear Promotion Campaign

Sometime ago, I have shown you the Alexander McQueen F/W 2011 promotion campaign and now it is time to show you the eyewear campaign.

This campaign is once again shot by David Sims and the model is Raquel Zimmermann. Even though it is only a head shot, because of the ray of lights, somehow this ad becomes very futuristic. What do you think?

Ray of Inspirology: Alexander McQueen F/W 2011 Promotion Campaign

Savage beauty continues with this campaign...

The follow photos are the new promotion campaign for the F/W 2011 Alexander McQueen collection. Raquel Zimmermann is the goddess in this campaign and she is shot by David Sims. I really love the dark and light contrast (setting vs the garments) of this campaign. Yes, it is very haunting, but you have to admit the imaginary reflects the fashion house perfectly. What do you think?

Ray of Inspirology: +J F/W Promotion Campaign

This season may probably be the last collaboration between Jil Sander and Uniqlo and recently the promotion campaign has been released on the web. The shots are photographed by David Sims and the models are Bastiaan Van Gaalen and Arizona Muse. Just like the previous campaigns, the images here are clean and simple and they fit well with the design of Jil Sander (minimalism). Are you excited about this collection after seeing the photos?

Ray of Inspirology: Prada F/W Menswear Promotion Campaign

This is a big transition for Tobey Maguire and I like it!

Tobey is no longer the Spiderman for this coming movie but now he has upgraded himself to a new level -- he is the face for Prada F/W 2011 menswear collection! Judging from the images that have released so far, I think he fits well to be a Prada boy. He looks very classy and sleek in the images and I love the light setup created by David Sims. Funny how one of the images Tobey is wearing the blue sweater and red shirt, maybe this is an indication that people will never forget him as Spiderman?

Overall, I love what I see here. Bravo!

Ray of Inspirology: WANTED!

I am not sure if this series is inspired by a movie or not but regardless, I am in love with the shots!

This editorial is shot by David Sims for the latest issue of Vogue Paris. Emmanuelle Alt has transformed Isabeli Fontana into a cowgirl and she looks absolutely beautiful and cool! The photos are very stunning as I feel like each image is like a oil painting and you can totally hang them on the wall as some expensive art pieces. If you are a cowboy/cowgirl fan, I am sure you will love this set.

Ray of Inspirology: Valentino S/S 2011 Promotion Campaign

I am loving the black and white photos for this Valentino promotion campaign.

This series is shot by David Sims featuring super model Freja Beha Erichsen. I always can associate the romantic and glamours feeling with Valentino and David Sims can show this feeling flawlessly with this set of photos. I also think Freja fits the Valentino style very well, don't you think so?

Ray of Inspirology: Roller Girl

Want an edgy roller girl? Look no further, David Sims has this amazing spread for you.

In the latest issue of Vogue Pairs, Iselin Steiro is the roller girl of this editorial and it is shot by David Sims. I really like high contrast of this set and the cold tone is definitely giving me the edgy feeling. Now, how many looks are you willing to try after seeing this spread?

Ray of Inspirology: Fork & Country

This issue of Vogue has a few interesting and beautiful editorials and this is one of them.

This spread is done by David Sims featuring Stella Tennant. The location choice is great and I am always impressed with the styling skill of Grace Coddington. I have to admit, other than Stella, I cannot think of anyone that will fit this spread. I am totally in love with this outdoor shoot!
