Graphic[Mashup]: Round 2

Last week I debuted a new segment called the Graphic[Mashup] and till this moment, the responses are very positive! This week, I have found more amazing illustrations and want to share with each of you! Let's get ready for Round 2!

Anoma Paleebut

Anoma is a very talented illustrator and out of all the recent works she has done, this Prada one has really captured my heart. it's very simple, whimsical and cute. I wish she can illustrate a few more looks as I think she can create a great illustration series based on this collection.

Michael Sanderson

Michael Sanderson is always one of my favourites and recently he has been featured on B-Insider of Hudson's Bay. I really like this illustration, especially the Hudson's Bay jacket.

Lesley Barnes

Another great work from Lesley and I cannot stop looking at it. This time, her latest illustration is inspired by the Prada F/W 2012 look. Again, I am addicted to this collection so there is no reason for me not to like it.

Helen Huang

Helen has been working on a new series based on the 4 seasons and the first one she released this week is Fall. As always, her girl is very pretty and elegant. I am excited to see the next 3 pieces from this series.

Adrian Valencia

If you are a One Direction fan, you are going to love this illustration created by Adrian Valencia. I like how each member is illustrated in one colour. Now I wonder if he will work on The Wanted next, it will be interesting if he does it.

Roberto Sánchez

Once again, I am attracted to Roberto's illustration this week. This Burberry Prorsum F/W 2012 illustration is fantastic! I love the fox mask and the duck background. These are two of the main elements of this collection. Well done!

Graphicology: MET Gala Illustrations by Adrian Valencia

It is only days after the MET Gala and one of my favourite illustrators has already created 3 amazing illustrations for this occasion.

Adrian Valencia, famous for his profile face & long neck illustrations, has created 3 illustrations based on the outfits Beyonce, Lana Del Rey and Anja Rubik wore to the event. I am completely memorized by the Beyonce image as I think she looks absolutely amazing under Adrian's style. What do you think?

Art[s]ense: Dolce & Gabbana S/S 2012 Illustrations Part 1

Let's start the new year with a bang on Swide!

Few months ago, I have asked 12 of my illustrator friends to each illustrate some pieces from Dolce & Gabbana S/S 2012 collection. After that, I have asked them some questions to explain their interpretations of the collection. I am very happy with the result and right now, we have the menswear series which features works from Adrian Valencia, Dan May, Gary Fernández, John Woo, Michael Sanderson and Spiros Halaris. Please click here to read it and I hope you will enjoy them as much as I do!

August 2011 Memories

This has been a really amazing month as we have some really good original contents on the blog. This time around, we are very lucky to be able to feature a few Central Saint Martins graduates as part of our 12 Months of [Pop Up] Flavors collaboration. The graduates we have featured included: Ivan C. Nunes, Flaminia Saccucci, Joshua Bullen, and Khrystyna Fomenko. Because of Central Saint Martins, we have also picked some nice F/W products from Alexander McQueen and Gareth Pugh (both of them and Sarah Burton are Central Saint Martins alumni) to talk about on our site.

Also, we are glad that Maxwell Lander has approached us and tell us her new group max & g.na. We are so happy to debut one of the group's editorial on our site and we have asked them a few questions as well. Click here to read it.

As for Swide, this month we have fashion illustrator Laura Wesson, Adrian Valencia and photographer Pedro Matos.

We are going to have more original contents for you next month so please stick to this blog and see what we are up to!

Graphicology: GaGa-licious by Adrian Valencia

At this moment, I am sure a lot of people are having the Lady Gaga fever and today I have found another cool illustration set for you.

This illustration set is illustrated by Adrian Valencia, "an Argentinian illustrator who lives and works in London". When I look at this set, all I can think of is the evolution of Lady Gaga. I am in love with the signature style of Adrian - the profile side of his character, as I always think it is a challenge to illustrate this part of a human being. The details on the illustrations are amazing and you will have to see them with your own eyes to believe them.

Now, I am looking forward to see more amazing works from this illustrator!
