Ray of Inspirology: Dior Homme F/W 2013 Campagin

Dior Homme F/W 2013 is one of my favourite collections in this season and finally, the campaign images are out!

This campaign is shot by Willy Vanderperre and I am surprised the creative team has picked a grand classy study room as the background. Since the collection itself is very futuristic, at first, I expected the campaign would have something to do with space. This was not the plan for the team, and interesting enough, the setting now helps to add a touch of classy vibe to the collection. Overall, I think this is going to be one of my favourite menswear campaign in this season.

What do you think?

Ray of Inspirology: Christian Dior F/W 2013 Campaign

I am not sure why, but I actually have not come across Dior's latest campaign until now. After looking at these images, I personally think they are beautiful.

These shots are done by Willy Vanderperre and the models are Daria, Elise, Iselin & Mariacarla. I personally am in love with the recent Dior campaigns because they are simple and elegant. They also reflect the minimalist style of Raf Simons' fashion creations.

What do you think? Which one is your favourite?

Ray of Inspirology: Christian Dior S/S 2013 Promotion Campaign

Under the creative direction of Raf Simons, Christian Dior is now back to the minimalist era. The new S/S 2013 is the best prove for this new change.

This series is shot by Willy Vanderperre and it features Daria Strokous, Anna Martynova, Daiane Conterato, and Marie Piovesan. Unlike the Galliano era, the campaign is very bright, simple and clean. The images can truly reflect the new style of Dior and I love the surrealism Willy has created with the setting. To me, I think this is a great new start for the brand and I am looking forward to see the F/W 2013 collection during Paris Fashion Week. Good luck Raf!

Ray of Inspirology: Jil Sander S/S 2012 Promotion Campaign

Season after season, Jil Sander's promotion campaign is always one of my favourites and this season is no exception. This series is shot by Willy Vanderperre and styled by Olivier Rizzo. Unlike the whimsical feeling in the Louis Vuitton S/S 2012 campaign, Raf Simons, the creative and art director of Jil Sander, has brought Natasha Poly, Daria Strokous, Clement Chabernaud and Aiden Andrews to a "crime scene". The feeling of this campaign is intense and I like the use of the broken glass hole. Seriously, with such a great campaign this season, how can the brand top itself again in the F/W season?

Ray of Inspirology: Mr. Raf Simons

Raf Simons is looking mighty fine here!

This editorial is shot by Willy Vanderperre  for Fantastic Man and the styling is by Olivier Rizzo. Somehow, I really like this series. It is very natural, and Raf looks so natural in front of the camera. After looking at this series, I think Raf should also consider to be the model of his campaign if he ever wants to have an extra job. What do you think?

Ray of Inspirology: Jil Sander F/W Promotion Campaign

The new Jil Sander F/W promotion campaign has arrived and the series is shot by Willy Vanderperre. Guerrino Santulliana and Daria Strokous are the Jil Sander boy and girl this season. The photos look very abstract as usual (two photos just show the legs and I can only use the word artistic to describe them) and the mood is quite dark here. Somehow, when I look at the photos, all I can think of is Christmas. What do you think?

Ray of Inspirology: The Scream

If you are a photographer and you like to capture the models scream moment, then you will find this to be very inspiring.

This editorial is shot by Willy Vanderperre for  the latest issue of Vogue Hommes International and the model here is Jonathan Marquez. I have to give props to Panos Yiapanis for picking out some amazing outfits for this shoot. Also, I like how Willy captures the blurry image of Jonathan when he is screaming. At some point, this editorial is slightly haunting. What do you think?

Ray of Inspirology: Prada S/S 2011 Menswear Promotion Campaign

Sometimes a picture worths a thousand words and this is one of the best examples to demonstrate this phrase.

This campaign is shot by Willy Vanderperre and the photos are in the most simple form. This series has flawlessly demonstrate how a Prada man should look like and because of the vibrant colors for this season, a simple background will do the job just right. This campaign will most likely be another classic ads from Prada that everyone will remember.

Ray of Inspirology: Jil Sander S/S 2011 Promotion Campaign

I have to admit, this campaign has to be the best set of photos I have seen so far for this season.

This series is shot by Willy Vanderperre for Jil Sander and the models are Yannick Abrath and Daria Strokous. Just like last season, the background is a simple white backdrop but because of the explosive bright colors of the S/S 2011 collection, the ads are very colorful. Also, Willy has faded out the face of Daria in some of the shots to make the campaign to look more surreal.

I cannot take my eyes of this amazing campaign. Thoughts?

Ray of Inspirology: Natasha is the New Brunette Who Loves Her New Prints

You ready for S/S 2011 prints?

In the latest issue of V Magazine, Willy Vanderperre has done an editorial featuring Natasha Poly. This series is all about the S/S 2011 prints and Panos Yiapanis has picked some good ones that can represent this coming season for Natsha to wear. I was not a big fan of Versace when I saw the runway show back in October but after seeing this set, my heart starts to lean a bit towards the like side. However, nothing can beat the hip hop vibe Prada is giving out in this set.

What do you think? Do you love the simple lighting?

Ray of Inspirology: Charlotte in Couture

After seeing this editorial by Willy Vanderperre, I don't think age matters anymore for modeling.

This spread is featured in the latest issue of V Magazine and the model is Charlotte Rampling. Charlotte is wearing different couture pieces in this series and she looks absolutely amazing. With the black and white effect, the whole shoot looks very classy and glamours. Once again, age is no longer a determine factor for modeling after seeing such a great editorial.

Ray of Inspirology: Liv for Love

Thanks to Willy Vanderperre, now I know Liv Tyler can totally be a full time model.

This spread is featured in the latest issue of LOVE Magazine. The shoot is simple but the composition is great here. Out of the 7 shots, 3 of them have instantly become my favorites. This series shows the most elegant side of Liv and she is definitely more than just a great actress, but also a great model too.

Ray of Inspirology: Jil Sander F/W 10 Promotion Campaign Part 2

I am happy to see there is a round 2 for this promotion campaign! Better yet, there is one more great shot of Miranda Kerr!

This campaign is shot by Willy Vanderperre and in this Miranda Kerr shot, you can totally see the beautiful curve body of her and she looks very nice in Raf Simons' creation. Also in this badge, Aiden Andrews is looking great with the sunglasses. Now I am curious if there is a 3rd wave for this campaign...

Ray of Inspirology: Jil Sander F/W 2010 Promotion Campaign

Less is more and this theory works for the Jil Sander F/W campaign.

Willy Vanderperre is once again appointed to be the photographer for this shoot and the cast of this campaign includes Kasia Struss, Miranda Kerr, Aiden Andrews. This campaign actually reminds me of the one Willy has done in one of the editorials for V Magazine but still, this one does not disappoint me at all. Out of the 3 photos, I am attracted to Miranda Kerr's one the most. I really love the composition, the lighting and the look of her face in the photo.

This is a perfect example of simplicity high fashion promotion campaign.

Ray of Inspirology: Aquascutum F/W 2010 Promotion Campaign

While I am still waiting for more photos from this campaign, I cannot resist of not talking about this particular photo from the set.

This campaign is shot by Willy Vanderperre featuring Karlie Kloss, Matt Benstead, Jacob Coupe and Tristan Knight. I like the background of the composition of this ad especially the "sky" is creating a mysterious mood for this campaign. Being the only girl in the campaign, for some reasons, Karlie is actually gives me a masculine feeling here. I am looking forward to see more photos from this series and hope they will live up to my expectation.

Ray of Inspirology: A Woman In Full

I really really like this editorial. It literally brings me back to the elegant and glamorous 70s, 80s era.

In the latest issue of V Magazine, this spread is shot by Willy Vanderperre featuring a cast of star-studded includes Adriana Lima, Lindsey Wixson, Karolina Kurkova, Miranda Kerr, Rianne Ten Haken, Natasha Poly, Kasia Struss, Izabel Goulart, Jacquelyn Jablonski and Mariacarla Boscono. This set of photos is all about celebrating the curves of women and I can feel every model is very proud of her body. The high contrast in the photos, the makeup (Peter Philips), hairstyling (Paul Hanlon) and wardrobe styling (Olivier Rizzo) on the models give out a strong retro vibe and I feel like I am reading some magazines in the 80s.

I simply can't take my eyes off this spread.

Ray of Inspirology: Daddy's always right

Willy Vanderperre has done a very classy editorial shoot for Naomi Campell in the latest issue of Russian Vogue. As usual, Naomi does a great job with posing and with the black and white effects on some photos, the shoot just becomes flawless.

There is no doubt this supermodel is irreplaceable.
