Fashionist[On The Go]: Best Dressed Women

These ladies are doing well in the fashion news this week!

Usually I don't necessary with magazine's best dressed people list but this time, I am 100% with People magazine. Gwyneth Paltrow is picked as the "World's Best Dressed Woman" of 2012. If you have followed her red carpet path this year, you should remember the amazing Tom Ford gown and the Prada dress. [Read Here]

Congratulations! You deserve it! (source: the Fashionist

As many of you know, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds had their secret wedding few days ago and of course I am more interested in what they wore for this special occasion. Blake was wearing a custom Marchesa gown while her husband, Ryan, was wearing custom Burberry suit with suspenders designed by Christopher Bailey. [Read Here]

Fashionist[On The Go]: It's the fragrance week!

It looks like this is the week of fragrance!

For the first time ever, Gwyneth Paltrow becomes the face of Hugo Boss Nuit perfume. I think Hugo Boss has found the right person to represent this new product but somehow, I am not completely feeling the ad campaign. [Read Here]

I still think there is a little bit off in this campaign. I just can't figure out what is missing... (source: the Fashionist)

After being the face of Chanel handbags, Blake Lively has scored another major deal with another high fashion brand. Now she is the face of Gucci's Gucci Première and I actually quite enjoy the short video. What do you think? [Read Here]

It's a typical Gucci ad and I actually like it! (source: the Fashionist)

Ray of Inspirology: Blake Lively For Chanel S/S 2011 Mademoiselle Campaign

When I first heard that Blake Lively is the new face of Chanel handbags' ads, I had doubts because I don't see the spark between this brand and the Gossip Girl actress. Well, the promotion photos are finally out to the public and I must say, I am fairly surprised by this combination.

The photos are shot by Karl Lagerfeld and I am loving how he uses the mirror as the backdrop (as you may know, mirror is an iconic item in Chanel history). Since the color tone is very dull in the set,  it makes the red version of the Mademoiselle handbag really stands out (well the other two are not bad too, but they blend in with the background). Of course, Blake's performance is not bad in the photos either which she gives a very intense expression to attract us to see the campaign. What do you think?

Ray of Inspirology: Blake Lively for Interview September 2010

There is no doubt that I am not very impressed with Serena in the last season of Gossip Girl since I am still pretty clueless why she exists in New York doing random things (at some point I wish her character is killed off). Anyway, at least I am not hating Blake Lively in real life especially she looks so different in this editorial.

In the latest issue of Interview, Blake is shot by Craig McDean in a high fashion prisoner themed spread. Just like the Megan Fox spread in the previous issue, when I look at this series, I somehow cannot recognize Blake at all. She looks elegant and I cannot find the Gossip Girl from her in this shoot (I think that's a good thing). Craig uses the CCTV concept for this shoot and I think it is a brilliant idea.

If I were the photographer for this shoot, I would be very proud of this set. Do you like the photos?

Ray of Inspirology: Blake Lively For Vogue June 2010

If you a fan of Gossip Girl, I am sure you will know Blake Lively. In the latest issue of Vogue, Mario Testino has transformed her into a beach girl. The editorial is young, refreshing and at some point you will want summer to arrive right at this moment. I am usually not a fan of snap shot type editorial but for this one, I just can't get my eyes off a few of the photos.

Here are my favorites.

Ray of Inspirology: Saturday Night Live: Blake Lively & Rihanna

Almost every Saturday night, I will be sitting in front of the TV and watch the latest episode of Saturday Night Live. I like to see different people hosting the show and the skits are always full of entertainment elements.

Recently, I have also started to focus another element of the show: the photos that are shown on TV before each segment starts. Those photos are shot by Mary Ellen Matthews and I really love the cross processing techniques she uses for the photos.

Just past this Saturday, Blake Lively is  the host of the show with Rihanna as the musical guest.  Here I want to share some of the photos I like from this show.

All photos are courtesy of NBC.
